When Shadow is on a mission to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds from Dr. Eggman, as soon as Shadow arrived at Eggman to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds, he was tricked by Eggman that he will use the Chaos Emeralds on Shadow to make him disappear but there was a problem with the machine and when Eggman uses it, the machine explodes causing Shadow and the Chaos Emeralds to disappear.
Shadow arrived in a new world with the Chaos Emeralds and with a new form.
