*Lucia's POV*
I was walking down the street looking for a job opening because I and my mom need more money, we need to pay rent by next week, or else our landlord will kick us out and then we'll be living on the streets.
*After 2 hours of looking for a job*
I sat on a bench annoyed and a little bit sad that I couldn't find a job opening but then I see a tall dark-green-haired boy walking towards me.
"Im Edric, Edric blight but call me ed what's your name"
"Lucia, Lucia noceda" I responded with suspicion
"Are you looking for a job by any chance" he responded cheerfully
"Yeah, what's it to you"
"Well there's a job opening and sense you're looking for a job... so wanna"
"Sorry buddy but I'm not going to take a job from a dark green-haired weirdo" I got up and was about to walk away
"Well that's a little offensive, but if you take the job you'll be paid 4k a month" I could tell he was smirking behind my back
I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard that much money, I thought for a minute about how that much money could help me and my mom and pay more than the rent we could get more food and my mom's medication but then I thought how this could be a trick, thankfully I always have a pocket knife and gun in my jacket pocket.
"Fine I'll take the job but if you trick me so help me god"
"I'm not planning on it" he smiled
A black fancy car then parked on the side of the road making me very suspicious, he opened the door of the black car and then gestured for me to get in the car.
I got in the car but had my hand on the gun in my jacket pocket, it was a 15-minute ride from what I thought.
"You know kid you shouldn't have a gun in your pocket you could accidentally pull the trigger" I looked at him in shock at how he Know I had a gun in my hoodie pocket, He had a small grin making me feel uneasy.
"We're here sir ed," An unknown voice said from the driver's seat
"Thanks, Samuel, come on kid" Edric
"Fine" Lucia
I got out of the car seeing the mint-haired boy wave to the driver, I saw a building that had a castle like features, walls a dark purple color, and tan roofs.
I sighed waiting to get stabbed, shot, or have a syringe with a sleeping chemical in it stabbing me, just something that could kill me and or hurt me, I started whispering 'love you mom' under my breath waiting to meet my fate.
"I'm not going to kill you kid calm down" ed
"How do I know you're not lying" Lucia
"Anwer this if I wanted to kill wouldn't I have done it by now" ed
"Yeah I guess you're right" Lucia
I walked in the door looking around when a brown-haired boy came stomping down the stairs, he looked like a wreck and looked like he had a bad time.
"I AM DONE I QUIT SHE IS THE DEVIL HIMSELF" he yelled
"Wait please" unknown
I then saw a woman with light green hair and magenta clothes quickly walking down the stairs, once she got down the stairs the boy was already out the doors.
The woman looked at Edric and then at me, she shook her head and a small smile appeared on her face making me uncomfortable cause she was just begging for that boy not to leave.
"Edric honey you're back and who's this" unknown
"Hey mom, this is Lucia noceda and she wants the job" Edric
"Oh perfect just in time for the boy you just saw quit which means there's an opening" unknown
"Um hi, what's your name again?" Lucia
"Oh how rude of me, I'm Odalia blight one of the richest people in the world" Odalia
"Ok well nice to meet you your highness" Lucia, I spoke trying to be funny
"Haha your funny I like you" Odalia
"So just wondering what's the job?" Lucia
"Ah yes, well ever since the incident that happened I haven't been able to get bodyguards for my daughter lately, when I do she usually makes them quit within a month of working" Odalia
"So I'm babysitter" Lucia, I responded with a sassy tone
"No you're a bodyguard and you get the weapon of your choice to protect my daughter," Odalia said hopefully
I looked at Odalia and then at Edric, I sighed and then smiled after thinking about it for a minute or two.
"When do I start" Lucia
"Tomorrow morning" Odalia
"Can I sleep here tonight then" Lucia
"Of course Young lady, you can sleep in the room next to my daughter's room, Edric darling can you show her please" Odalia
I nodded and walked with Edric to the spare room, once we got to it he told me to try to ignore the loud music his sister has on most of the time then he walked away, I walked into the room seeing a big bed in the corner and a dresser beside it.
I kicked my shoes off and moved them to the side of the door, I got on the bed and under the covers, and when the warmth of the blankets hit my body I felt sleepy and then black...
