Things have been stressful for you recently. Work seemed to be piling up nonstop and nothing you did would fix it. A nice sunset walk would be good for your mind. So you set off, hoping the cool breeze and beautiful sunset would clear your mind. You walked out of your apartment and grinned, the cool fall air washing over you and the setting sun bathing you in golden light. This transition between the day and the night was always intriguing. The slow fading of the light into the starry sky fascinated you to no end. Your walk took you through a park as the dark started to fall over the horizon. There was a small lake in this park, one with a small viewing area with a railing. You approached the area, and there stood a man. This stranger held a mysterious energy, like the night radiated from his very person. The sky became darker and stars began to form above you as you approached him. The figure wore a long leather jacket, a red dress shirt, and clear framed glasses on his face. His messy raven black hair fell over one of his eyes, partially obscuring what appeared to be a red birthmark circling his right eye. As you stepped up to the railing, the figure turned to look at you. His height seemed apparent now, he stood at what seemed to be around 6'7.

"Evening. What brings you out this late?" His voice was deep, and to be honest, very attractive. The sound of it made you blush.

"I'm just out on a walk. Needed to clear my head, y'know?" You replied, leaning on the rail as the other did. "I'm (Y/N). What's your name?"

"I am the God of Night. But you may call me Night. It's a pleasure to meet you, (Y/N)." He nodded in return. A god? A real god? You always had your suspicions that they existed. But standing right next to one seemed way too good to be true.

"God of Night, hm...? I guess it makes sense for you to be out here." You chuckled softly.

"Indeed. I usually don't speak with humans. They're boring and often a waste of my time. But you...you seem different." Night hummed as he stared out over the lake.

"I do?" You tilted your head in question. You followed the god's gaze up to the stars above.

"Yes. You're not like other humans I've met. How about we have a little chat?" Night asked with a small smirk. You, of course, agreed. The conversation began, Night ranting about a god named Voyer and a person named Driver, how annoying the two could be. He told you about the Council of the Gods, and you told him about the hell that was your job.

You were taking a walk to clear your mind after work. But now you found yourself by the lake, engaged in doing with a god. You and Night spoke for a while more, and eventually agreed to meet up here tomorrow night. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad with a god by your side.
