Big Brother Dilly Pt 2

While Stu made sure the yard was cleared of many of the branches and twigs, Didi had taken the boys to the park to play with Phil, Lil, Chuckie, Kimi, and Savannah for a playdate to get them out of the house. Upon arriving at the park Didi set down Dil near the sandbox as Tommy giggled with glee seeing his friends already playing in the sandbox.

"Didi, hey, how are you today?" Ebony called out from the nearby bench, where she and Kira were sitting, asking about Didi's well being as she gently pushed Samayah's stroller back and forth to hopefully sway the infant to sleep soon

"Oh I'm well. Had a little incident yesterday that I think still had both Dil and I a bit shaken up." Didi answered truthfully as she took a seat

"Oh, if you don't mind me asking, what happened?" Kira questioned

"Oh it was nothing too serious, Dil just got his first actual cut after tripping on a tree branch in the backyard. He seems alright but I haven't really seen him walking or running since." Didi answered, looking wearily over at her youngest child who was sitting in the grass

"I'm sure he's alright Didi, just give him a little time and I bet he'll be back on his feet in no time." Kira assured the red head

"You're probably right." Didi chuckled, taking a seat with the other two moms.

"Well he'll get to spend time with his friends, everyone's here. Betty and Chas are working over at the Java lava so we decided I can take Chuckie, Kimi, and the twins to the park today." Kira said with a soft smile

"A playdate might just be what Dil needs." Didi replied with a nod

Meanwhile, realizing Dil could very easily get another boo boo at the park, Tommy came prepared. Recalling what he did when he got his first cut, he had brought the same ABC book he had read way back then to keep Dil still so he didn't hurt himself again.

"Here Dilly, you can looks at this. That way you can't get another boo boo or make your sticky come off." Tommy said, handing Dil the book. "If you needs me, I'll be over in the sandybox with Reptar!"

"But Tommy!" Dil cried out as he let out a sigh watching his brother run off towards the sandbox

He wanted to play but he understood his brother's concern of not wanting him to get hurt again. He didn't want to get hurt again either but he wasn't a baby baby! He could be careful! For now, he reluctantly complied, as he began looking through the book in his hands. Over in the sandbox, Tommy came up to the edge, holding Reptar in his hands, as he greeted his friends

"Hey guys!" Tommy greeted

"Hi Tommy!" Kimi replied, with the others following in response

"Hey Tommy." Phil and Lil both said

"Hi Tommy." Chuckie also greeted.

Savannah had also said hello but had noticed that Dil wasn't with Tommy. Curious as to where her best friend was, she decided to ask.

"Hey Tommy, why is Dil not here with yas?" Savannah asked

"Oh, he's sitting over theres. He gotted a boo boo where he got cutted on his foot so he has to sits still so his Goober sticky doesn't come off the boo boo and his blood comes out." Tommy answered, pointing to Dil, who was "reading" with a glum look on his face

"Oh...what would happen if that were to happen?" Savannah followed up with

Tommy and the others of course proceeded to explain what cuts were, how they happen, and what would happen if it were to get infected. Of course, this only made Savannah more worried for her friend but also feeling sorry for him due to having to sit out because of a dumb cut.

"Oh that's kind of scary. Thanks for telling me." Savannah said

"No problem, Savannah. It's okay though, as long as he's not doing nothing but sitting he won't get another boo boo like that." Tommy responded with a nod. "Now who wants to play Reptar vs the Sandants?" Tommy then asked

Of course all of the group cheered in delight at the idea, with the exception of Savannah, as they all began playing with Reptar in the sandbox. Seeing as the others had quickly become invested in their game, Savannah took this chance to climb out of the sandbox and make her way over to see Dil.

"Hey Dil!" Savannah greeted, cheerfully.

"Oh...hi Savannah." Dil replied glumly

"Are you okay? You seem sad." Savannah questioned as she sat down next to the other one year old

"Yeah it's just, Tommy won't let me play nothing ever since I gots this dumb boo boo on my foots. It's like he thinks im a baby baby who can't be careful." Dil ranted in frustration

"Well, what's stopping you from just doing whats you want? Asides if you can be careful then it should be fines. We can go plays on the big tower thingy on the other side of the park where Tommy can't sees us." Savannah suggested, standing up on her feet again as she offered her hand out to Dil to come with her.

Dil hesitated for a moment, but his hesitation was quickly replaced with the anger he felt of being treated like a baby baby by his big brother. Besides, Savannah was right, if he was careful anyway it should be fine. With his hesitation gone, Dil peered over the top of the book, seeing if Tommy's back was turned. Seeing that it was, he then tossed the ABC book onto the ground next to him. Dil then took Savannah's hand and got up onto his feet as they both then snuck their way to the other side of the playground away from Tommy and the others. He was going to have fun no matter what Tommy said he couldn't do!
