Headcanon : FTM!Miguel
Miguel looked over at his new girlfriend, contemplating on how to tell her. He was sure she'd take it well, or at the very least not take it horribly, but that didn't make it any easier. He didn't want her to feel like he had been lying or anything like that, and he knew it would be better to tell her sooner, rather than later. Well he thought to himself. Worst case scenario, she breaks up with you... It's not the end of the world
"Hey, um" he started uncomfortably, trying to keep a brave face on but only meeting that goal halfway. She looked over at him, silently telling him to continue. It's now or never he thought to himself before looking up and forcing himself to meet her eyes. "I have something I should tell you"
"What is it?"
"I'm trans"
...
"As in you wanna be a girl?" Tory asked, confused as to what exactly he meant. "Cause, I mean, I'm bi, so that's no prob-"
"No" he cut her off. "As in... I was born as a girl, but I'm..." he gestured to himself. Tory's eyes widened in understanding as a few things clicked into place. It made sense now, why he never took his shirt off even when the other boys in class would. Or why he treated her and Aisha with a little more respect than some of the others. "I'm sorry I didn't-"
"You're good" she reassured him. "It's no issue, really" she added, glad to see him relax a little. "It's just... Kinda surprising" she continued. "I never would've guessed"
"That's kind of the idea" he joked, breathing out a light chuckle.
"Who else in Cobra Kai knows?"
"Just you, Hawk, Aisha, and Sensei Lawrence" he told her. "Please don't-"
"I won't" she assured him. "It's no one's business if you don't want it to be"
"Thank you" he told her with a smile. "Do you still want to keep up whatever we have going, or...?"
"Absolutely" she replied, leaning over and kissing him before standing up. "Come on, Diaz" she gestured for him to stand with her. "I know a place we can go have some fun"
"Yes, ma'am"
