Maddy Pov:
I scrambled through the air vent after Ant I noticed that below us there was a storage room with waterproof crates inside.
"Ant!"
"What?" he asked, "Is it Mr Evil?"
"Mr Evil!" I put my hand over my mouth to stop the choking sobs of laughter from escaping,
"No, It's Elon Musk's twin brother. You Idiot, there are waterproof crates, so that means they're airtight, we just float to the surface."
"Maddy! That's brilliant!" Ant gave me a hug and a quick peck on the cheek,
Ant slowly inched the grate open careful not to make any noise that might alert Mr Evil. Ant hopped down silently and glanced furtively around to make sure that the security droids weren't here. I grabbed his hand and lowered myself down, I glanced at the crates and emptied a bunch of little round metal balls that were inside. Ant let out a startled hiss of astonishment and I spun around to see his look of horror,
"What is it?" I asked anxiously,
"They're grenades." He replied shortly,
"Grenades?" I replied wondering how this might help us escape,
"DUCK!" Ant said as he activated it and threw it against the far wall,
There was a blinding explosion and seawater gushed in as alarms blared and Ant shoved me into a crate and he barreled in a moment later and sealed the crate.
"What did you do?" I asked in a frenzy of nervous excitement as Ant climbed in with me, the seawater still rising,
"I just set some grenades to explode in five minutes. Here, I found some spare rebreathers." Ant handed me a black rebreather with an orange stripe on it and he sealed the box,
"The Arronax knows our position, they'll be here shortly."
10 minutes later...
Third person pov:
"This is the Arronax, there will be a fee of $20.21 for this highly unusual taxi call out fee... okay, I'm being given the death glare from Kaiko..." Fontaine said over the radio,
"Kids! Are you okay?" Kaiko asked anxiously,
"They're fine, the lovebirds are just having some alone... kissing" Fontaine yelled, cutting off her last words as Kaiko threw a tablet at her,
"Fontaine! That's inappropriate and you know it!" Kaiko yelled in the background,
Suddenly the crate rocked from side to side,
"I got you!" Will said over the radio,
2 Minutes later...
Ant pov:
I squinted at the light coming from the now open crate lid and into my sister's terrifying grinning face.
"Enjoy your date Ant?" Fontaine asked smirking,
"Not as much as you and Finn enjoyed yourselves last night." I returned,
Fontaine looked at me with murder in her eyes until Kaiko and Will rushed up crushing the air from my lungs.
Later that night...
Maddy came up to me while I was reading the unpublished second edition of Moby Dick,
"I just wanted to thank you for saving me." Maddy said shyly looking down at her feet,
"That's o-" Maddy cut me off by hugging me and giving me a kiss,
"Will you marry me?" I asked,
"I do." Maddy looked at me and smiled,
"You may kiss me for real now." I smiled and laughed,
"What the-" Kaiko started when she saw us.
A/N: Sorry this chapter is so short but I'm going away so... yeah.
