It's not his kind of thing ke?

"Why did you come in the first place?"

He stopped replying.

I dropped my phone in my bag dejectedly.

Concentrate, Jummy!

"Hey, girl."
Kayode approached.

Oh, God, Kay, not now!

"Hi." I replied non-chalantly.

"You look tired already and we have barely started.

Nobody asked, sir.

"Nah, just bored, where's Enny?" I stood, ready to end the conversation.

"She's with Kemi, I guess."

"Oh, Kemi is here? I need to say Hi to her."

"Wait... I"

"Goodbye, Kay." My voice overshadowed his.

I made my way to where Kemi and Enny stood.

Kemi was our third Friend. She was dark skinned and the shortest among us. She eats twice as us but she was very skinny and I always wondered where all the food went.

"Kemi Kemo, how are you, been long I saw you."

"Jumjumjumjumm!" She replied, sounding like a car about to ignite. That was what she was she always called me whenever she was in a good mood.

"What's up na?"

"It's my department. They want to kill me with stress o."

"You'll be fine, sweetheart."

"Guys, let's join the rest, so we don't leave them waiting." Enny suggested.

*....*
We spent 3 hours already and the fun we had been having didn't seem to want to come to an end. It was 6:30pm already, people had started leaving. I needed to go home too. I knew I had told them I mightn't come back home, but It wasn't that easy. My mom might suddenly call and say there's no one to cook at home. Dad might call to say his tomorrow's cloth needs to be ironed, even though Brother Timi was home- doing nothing!!

After eating enough food, I made my way back into Enny's room and changed into my former clothes.
She then joined me in her room.

"You're leaving?" She asked.

"Yes."

"Didn't you already take permission to do a sleepover?"

"Enny, you know my house. They'll soon start calling now, just wait."

"I have a perfect Idea."

"That won't make them call?"

"Yes, baby."

She raced out of the room and came back in few minutes.

"My mom has called your mom." She let out, breathing heavily.

"For real?"

"Yes, so put those fucking bags down."

"What did she tell her?"

"Actually I didn't hear, but I knew it ended with...We'll take care of her, ma."

"See you o, if you were a Police officer, culprit go don run away." I chuckled.

She frowned.

"Y'all, that's what I get for helping my best friend."
