~Phase 2~

You three quickly run into the gates, seeing everyone who made it there as kurapika slows down

"We made it just in time"

Satotz eyes land of you as he smiles, clicking his watch as he gives a nod of approval, you look around for killua and Leorio as you wonder

"Where are those two?" you question before you feel daggers on your back, looking quickly behind as you see hisoka

Gon looking as well as the man points to a tree, you both looking over as you see Leorio awake holding his swollen cheek

Your eyes widen at this as you chuckle a little, kurapika and Gon going to him as you stay put

"Hey y/n, was worried you weren't gonna show" Killua says as he arrives at your side, you shrug a little before fixing your shirt

"I got mixed up into something with Gon, it wasn't that big of a deal." You say as killua hums looking around before he spots the examiners eyes on you

"That satotz guy looked pretty worried, what a creep" Killua says as he sticks out his tongue

You look at him as satotz smiles, giving you a small wave as you can't help but smile

"Yeah... how weird" you say sarcastically as you quickly join the rest of the group, seeing kurapika and gon bring Leorio over there

"How wonderful! This is where your second phase will be at, the vista forest park! I wish you all the best of luck I shall take my leave."

Satotz smiles as he walks away, everyone moving out of his way as some men whisper about him, you smile as he passes you, the man touching your shoulder a bit as he gives you a nod

'Be safe'

"Im glad that creeps gone he was way to close with you" Leorio says annoyed as you roll your eyes watching as the giant gates open to the park

Everyone walking in slowly as the next two examiners are revealed, your eyes widening as you see them

"Will all the applicants who passed the first phase please enter?"

Menchi and Buhara say sitting down as they both smile, you make sure to go in front with everyone else as you all walk inside

"I'm menchi I'll be your examiner for the second phase" she says happily as buhara behind her laughs

"And I'm buhara, likewise I'm also your examiner for the second phase!"

Everyone looks on with mixed emotions as there eyes start to look around, menchi finally getting to you as she gasp loudly

"Ah! He really let you participate sweetie! Oh my god you look so adorable!!" She yells as you shake your head embarrassed, buhara waving to you with a goofy smile

Everyone looks on confused as some look around to see who there referring to, kurapika and killuas eyes going to you quickly

Before they can embarrass you any further buharas stomach growls, menchi looking up at him as she smiles

"Sounds to me like you're getting hungry."

"Not just hungry I'm famished!" Buhara says as he holds his stomach, you groan a little bit before shaking your head

"Well there you have it! For your second phase.... Will be cooking!" She says pointing to the crowd as people eyes widen, most not believing her or being confused

"What do you mean, we're cooking? We came here to take the hunter exam!" An applicant complains as most agree, menchi just smirking as she shakes her head

"That's right. The second phase of the exam will be preparing a meal that'll satisfy our palates" she says standing up, everyone looking confused as you even raise an eyebrow

"Why do we have to cook?"

"Don't you know? It's simple really, because we're gourmet hunters!" She says happily, both of them looking proud of it as you nod

Before everyone laughs.. you even hear Leorio start to chuckle a little bit as you glare at him, kurapika looking at you before shaking his head

"You guys really are hopeless, seems like only the smart ones will pass this one" you say crossing your arms as Gon looks at you

"I don't get it?"

"So, your both gourmet hunters. And what exactly do you want us to make?" The same man says playfully as menchi looks at him annoyed

"Buhara"

The large man stands up, shaking the ground with his step as he smiles at the applicants

"Todays required ingredient will be pork!"

"Pork? That's seems simple enough" kurapika says as Buhara states that we can use any species of pig in the forest

"As you see, you'll use these cooking facilities to prep your work dishes! To pass the exam, you must create a dish to satisfy our discriminating palates" he continues as you nod your head looking at your group before shaking you head

"But we won't be evaluating taste alone. So take this seriously. Is that clear? When we've both eaten our fill, this portion of the exam will be over." She says before everyone brushes her off, some smirking at the simple challenge as killua looks bored

"Let the exams second phase begin!" Buhara says hitting his stomach, the sound being a bell as almost everyone starts to run to the dangerous forest

You stay still as everyone leaves the place, most running to find the pigs as Buhara smiles at you

"Good luck y/n!" He says giving you a thumb up as you wave goodbye, following everyone else's tracks

As your leaving the gates you head foot steps behind you, killua waiting there with his hands in his head

"About time! Cmon we need to find the pigs before everyone takes them!"
