[A Few Days Later]

Jay and Hailey watched Isla's lesson on her newest horse, Ranger. They both could see that this was already becoming a great horse for Isla, and they were quickly building a partnership after only a couple of rides.

"Good, Isla, make sure you fling your upper body back so quickly," Anna told Isla

"Good, Isla, make sure you fling your upper body back so quickly," Anna told Isla.

Isla goes to the next jump, following her trainer's instructions, noticing the difference once she stops flinging her body back so quickly.

"Perfect, Isla," Anna comments

"Perfect, Isla," Anna comments.

"This horse looks good for her," Hailey told Jay, it being the first time seeing Isla ride this horse. "This could be her Olympic ride."

"I think that was her plan. I honestly thought she would take Ryder as her Olympic ride if she were to make the Olympics," Jay responded to his wife, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

Hailey leaned into his embrace, "Yeah, but the problem with Ryder is he isn't jumping clear at the Olympic level; at least with Ranger, he can jump clear at the Olympic level."

"Alright, Isla, cool him out; that's enough for today," Anna told Isla. "Good job today. You two are going to be a real threat at the competitions."

"That's always the plan, right?" Isla joked, earning herself a chuckle from her parents.

"Alright, champ, go cool out. Make sure you shut everything off before you leave. Good job today, " Anna laughed before exiting the arena, bidding farewell to Jay and Hailey.

Isla finished cooling her horse and packing her stuff before ensuring her horses had enough hay and water to get them through the night. Before she was about to lock up the barn, her phone chimed with a text from Kailey.

Isla turned around, walking over to Kailey's tack boxes, unlocking them, and grabbing the respective blankets for each of Kailey's horses.

After blanketing Kailey's horses for her, she locked up Kailey's tack boxes, walked out of the barn, locked the door behind her, and walked toward her father's truck, where her parents were waiting for her.

"What took you so long, honey?" Hailey asked her daughter, watching Isla buckle her seatbelt into the truck.

"Kailey texted me asking if I was blanketing my three horses. I told her I was, and she asked me to blanket Ghost and Bella for her," Isla responded.

"Doesn't Kailey have a car?" Jay asked as he put the car in 'drive' and started the 20-minute drive home.

"It's in the shop still," Isla responded, sending Kailey a quick text.

"Kailey told me that the shop said they're waiting on a couple of parts, which are on backorder

"Kailey told me that the shop said they're waiting on a couple of parts, which are on backorder. She said the shop hopes to have the car reading within the next few days." Isla responded, checking something on her phone.

"I'm sure her parents want her to get her car back as soon as possible. I bet they're tired of driving her around," Jay joked, which earned a chuckle from his two girls.

"They've been driving her around her whole life so far; what're a few more days?" Isla sassed, which caused Hailey to laugh, reaching into the back seat to give her daughter a high five.

"You looked good, munchkin, and you two are already working well together," Jay says, changing the topic.

"Yeah, we are starting to become a good pairing," Isla responded, looking up from her phone.

"You got any homework to do when we get home?" Hailey asks her daughter.

Isla let out a long sigh, despising how much homework she had waiting for her at home, but on the other hand, she knew she had some time before it was due.

"I have a good amount, but they're all projects, so they're not due for a while," Isla told her mother.

"Make sure you stay on top of it; I don't want you to stay up until 4 am trying to finish a paper. Those were never fun nights," Jay told his daughter, keeping his eyes on the road.

The rest of the ride home was pretty silent, Jay paying attention to the road, Hailey on her phone, and Isla texting with her horse friends.

When the family got home, Isla immediately went to shower, wanting the barn to smell out of her hair. As much as Isla loved being at the barn, she didn't enjoy smelling like the barn for longer than she had to.

The family went about their ways for the rest of the day until they were ready to start making dinner. After dinner, they all helped to clean up the kitchen before moving over to the living room and putting on a random tv show until they were all ready to go to bed.

Authors note; I am so sorry! I didn't realize this chapter had half of it missing. It's a super short chapter, but I can't find the second half of this chapter I knew I wrote—my bad, guys.
