A flash of light covered the sky, and rain struck the windows of buildings and rushed through the culverts. Shadows danced across the road while a flurry of wind blew into the trees. Lightning rapidly zapped the pasture behind the town before a shock wave emitted.
"This storm sure did pick a bad time to come in. We're trying to watch a fight and not get in danger because of the weather." Tex groaned, she pulled her hat down and puffed a ring of smoke. Her hair blew in the wind while the dimly lit cigar sprinkled ash on the sidewalk.
Cheyanne glanced over to her undead servants. "Right, if we get near any lightning this way then my servers can act as rods. My major concern is if Lucy gets hit by it. She hates lightning-based attacks."
Tex soon nodded with a frown. "That's how Lucy became a fallen angel like she said. I want to see her win against Lucina but there's no telling what dirty tricks she'll use."
"Look! It looks like they're tossing their weapons away." Yori stood between them and narrowed her eyes.
"But why? Are they going to talk things out or fight with their fists?" Cheyanne asked.
The trio eyed them as Lucina and Lucy threw punches at each other. A quick rumble followed when Lucy spun into the air and slammed a foot into Lucina's chest. She soon followed up with an elbow to the head and flipped away into the air.
Lucina staggered to her feet with a smirk. "Heh, I didn't expect you to throw punches like that. We've only clashed with weapons before so let me return that display of raw strength." Her fists clenched up and she rushed at Lucy. With a swift punch, she struck her in the face and kicked Lucy down.
"Ugh, that stings! Guess we both know how to throw our punches." Lucy jumped off the ground and lifted herself with one hand. She spun both legs and flapped into the air with her wings.
"Yes, we certainly do seeing how we drew blood." Lucina spat blood on the ground and held a thumb to her cheek.
Lucy wiped the blood from her forehead. "At least this storm acts as a nice background drop for our fight." Her fists shook as she exhaled.
I need this valkyrie form to return or else we'll be hitting a stalemate again. She bit her lip and scraped her feet against the slick highway.
"Come on, Lucy. You can totally kick her ass with just your fists!" Lilith exclaimed. "I want to see you get wild!"
"Woah, Lilith. You sure got fired up, huh?" Talai asked. "I can't blame you, I feel the same way."
Lilith's face reddened and she chuckled. "Sorry, I really like seeing Lucy fight. When she fought my father, I got to see her at full force."
Talai held a hand to his neck. "Oh, right. She was doing that because of me when I was dead." His face grew pale before he coughed.
"You two seem to be getting friendly with each other. An angel and a demon being friends are quite taboo." Ignis bowed his head and shook it with a smirk on his face.
"That's funny coming from the demon who is friends with me." Talai laughed at him.
Hanna soon approached the two. "Hey, I wanted to say thank you for the help, guys. We got them to safety before anything else happened here." He faced them with a slight grin. "How is Lucy doing in her fight? Any progress?"
Yori shook her head. "They are landing hits but nothing else seems to be going for either of them. I'd want to do fusion but what if Lucina tries to attack?"
"It's a risky call for sure. I'm not sure if you can or not because of the situation." Hanna frowned.
Princess hurried over to them. "I just wanted to inform everyone that more people are coming to help." She furrowed her brow and held a phone out. "Riona from Cinder Horizons is leading a group to Earth as we speak."
