Chapter 41: Return to Normalcy

"Look at the size of these creatures! They're larger than the giants we fought earlier." Lucy closed her eyes and a green aura manifested from her body. She aimed a fist at a cluster of monsters before a stream of harmonic energy struck them. They evaporated instantly and others screeched while backing away from the impact. Her fist shook as she smirked and struck the other ones nearby.

"Yes, I bet these are the size of planets and maybe even stars at this rate. Now let's see if I can still use this." Lucina held a finger at one of the giants. "Morningstar!" A small light orb fired out of her fingers and passed through a giant's chest. Light suddenly emanated from it and a large explosion erupted inside. The beast bubbled and splattered into black blobs with pillars of light flying out. She eyed Lucy with a smile and blasted another giant.

The Creator stared at them from the platform and nodded. "You two are doing well! Keep at it for a bit longer until a large enough area is made." He placed both hands behind his back and leaned back. Lucifer, my friend. Your powers won't go to waste with their help and soon I'll bring you back.

Lucina quickly flew to a crowd of eaters and held both hands out. Dark hellfire spewed out of them and incinerated the eaters into ash within seconds. Her hands clenched into fists and massive heat waves swept through the vicinity. She swiftly threw both arms up and black lightning scattered throughout the monsters until they shriveled up. "Oh, it looks like my hellfire is doing damage again! I have a light version so how does it work?" With a hand raised, light hellfire shot out of it and created waves around the eaters. They attempted to escape but were swarmed by the light hellfire.

Lucy's wings fluttered and she faced a dozen giants. "Alright, with my harmonic energy back then I'll be able to do this, too!" Red armor enveloped her chest and torso along with a red aura. With harmonic energy added, the aura quickly transformed with a yellow hue. A sword rose from her right hand and she held it tightly. Her arm bent back and she swung an energy blast at the giants. The blast ripped them into pieces while she hovered above the monsters. "Hey, it's cool seeing harmonic energy mix with my other forms again! I just thought of another idea, too." She soon tilted her head and noticed where Lucina hovered.

"Is there something you need, Lucy?" Lucina asked with a raised eyebrow. "You're giving me that look as if something came up."

A large colossal beast swiped at them before Lucy flew over it and sliced into its arm with the blade. She rolled onto the hands and skidded to a stop. Her wings extended before she kicked off the beast's knuckles. "You know me so well! I was thinking we can do fusion together and take these creatures out way quicker!"

"Wait, fusion!? Are we even able to at this point?" Lucina asked.

"Yeah, come on! There's no harm in trying and if doesn't work then we'll try something else out!" Lucy exclaimed with a wide grin.

Lucina let out a deep sigh as she nodded. "Okay, we just need to be on the same energy wavelength, right?" Her energy quickly surged through her body and a dark aura emanated.

Lucy's aura matched hers and the two merged as one within seconds. Black and gray hair extended below their neck with four wings sprouting out of their back. Each one was a different color and purple eyes opened. The girl stared down at herself and grasped at the air while a dark purple aura surrounded her.

"What should we call this form? I feel so powerful with this so I'm thinking Lucynia." The girl chuckled. "What no way! That's just your old name but with a y! Lulu is better sounding to me!" A groan escaped the girl's mouth while she shook her head. "Okay, fine! Lulu sounds so silly but if it works then it works! We are Lulu in this form..."

"Good choice for a name, I like it!" The Creator held a thumb up to them.

Lulu summoned a long sword and ran a finger down the blade. The weapon ignited with white and black flames. Dark red armor wrapped over Lulu's body and static circled each wing. She glanced at a colossal and aimed the sword at it. "Supernova supreme!" A beam of energy fired out into the creature's head. This time a small explosion ignited from inside its skull. Once the creature opened its mouth, a twister of blades tore through it with hellfire and dark energy.
