The Grimms' Brothers never said golden haired Rapunzel you will never find it.
The original story says "fine as spun gold" that is applicable to texture instead of color just as much. The only reeuirement for Rapunzel was that her hair had to be long.
So Holly O'Hair and Poppy O'Hair from Ever After High are okay with their Hair color being auburn brown which I assume comes from their Mom.

Both of these proof with the way they were writing so specifically it is something to do with hair texture and not the color.

She passes originally story quota yes yes she does the texture is correct the long hair is there so yes she definitely passes the original story criteria to be a Rapunzel. If you are black and like this woman than hopefully this cheers you up by awakening people who have been thinking of the same picture of Rapunzel for far too long by saying the hair color is not permanently fixed or declared as by the definitions above golden haired illustration up above is just someone's descision to make the character blonde.

I really looked things over and smiled when I knew I was right that the authors never specified whether the hair had been golden or not. I am so happy that now I can focus on other stuff.
