"So... what are we gonna do tonight? No offence, but I don't want to see another chick flick. It's just a little too much." I threw myself on the couch opposite Sophia. The band was now in America for promotion, so that left the house to us. But we hadn't done anything wild or rebellious. We really had just stayed in.

"Actually, I have already made plans with Eleanor and Daisie. And you are involved as well. We are going out. I really need to hit the club and so do you, so no excuses!" She really knew me well. I really wanted to go out tonight. And I did always make excuses. Damn it.

"I'm not gonna make any excuses. I really want to go. It sounds fun! So when are they coming around?"

"Well, they said they would be here right about" As if on cue the doorbell rang.  "Now! Wow, perfect timing." She laughed while getting up.

Soon after we were all getting ready. Clothes and shoes were all over the place. The music was blazing. We were getting in the mood with some wine. Perfect outfits were chosen and makeup was applied. We had fun already. Sophia and Daisie sure as hell knew how to host a pre-party. We were all getting a little bit tipsy and we decided now was the perfect time to hit the club.

"Hey El?"

"Yeah, what's up?"

We were all crammed into one cab. Sophia had insisted on going to the Funky Buddha, so now we were trying to get there through traffic. Even though it was late at night, the streets were still busy.

"See, I was thinking... I want to have fun tonight, but I don't want to be groped and hit on by guys."

I hoped she, as my friend, would know where I was going with this. She just looked at me confused. Okay, she didn't know where I was going with this. But I had the perfect plan in my head. I just needed to know if she was in on it or not.

"But you are gorgeous! Why wouldn't guys hit on you?"

"No, that was not what I meant. But thanks thought. What I meant was... well, if you are in on it... we could maybe be each others beard?" I really hoped she would get it now.

Eleanor furrowed her eyebrows further in confusion. I gave her the time to think about what I had said and sure enough, she caught onto the meaning. Her facial expression turned to shock, then surprise and not long after a mischievous grin spread across her pretty face.

"So you're saying we should pretend to be gay tonight?" she laughed when I nodded. That was a way to keep the boys away, and still have a lot of fun.

"Oh I'm in!" the grin only got bigger. "But how are we gonna execute that exactly? What were you thinking?"

"See, I thought we could just barge in if a boy came too close. We would still have fun, dance like we use to, maybe get some free drinks if they offer, but if they get too touchy or the other looks uncomfortable, the other barges in."
