Love Despite Pain

You thought you were over him  
You thought you had moved on
But girl you are deeply wrong
Your feelings aren't gone

You think of him each day
You dream of him at night
You don't want to forget him
Even though it's right

You seem to listen to your heart
Than what your mind speaks to you
Your heart tells you to hold on
But your mind says find somebody new

How could you hold on
To somebody who caused you pain?
The answer to that is simple
'True love will always remain'
