Beyond the Sunset

I'm enjoying our time we are having now.

Stranded on the porch together, dancing on the decaying wood as we decay ourselves.

The beautiful orange light that's making you seem so radiant is fading into darkness.

It's almost time to say goodbye.

I lean into kiss you, but before I can,  you vanish into ash.

Carried by the wind, you travel beyond the sunset.

Stranded by myself on the porch, I'm now decaying alone.

But the light has vanished, and you already became the radiant lady in the sun.

What's more, I can't follow your brightness.

So I am now the lonely man in the moon.
