1255 Words

Y/N's POV

Dacre and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. Our parents grew up together, went to the same school and we were close our whole lives.

When we got older, Dacre got an acting job and that kind of tore our relationship apart.

I was still close with his family and our families would still have dinner and meet up together but, without Dacre it was weird.

We would still communicate every so often checking up on each other but, it just wasn't the same.

That was until his mom called my family and told us he was coming back home for a break

I was so excited when I found out I was going to be seeing my best friend again after a few years

So, there we were at the airport waiting for Dacre to show up

I was slouched in my seat when I hear my name being shouted from the other side of the airport

I look up and I see Dacre

Wait, was that Dacre?

He looked much more mature than he had the last time I saw him

He had facial hair and it looked like he had been working out. He was very muscular, and not to mention it looked like his jawline could cut a diamond.

Wait, did I like him? No, that was my best friend I couldn't.

I pushed those thoughts out of my head and ran towards him, he dropped his suitcase and opened his arms for me, I wrapped my legs around his torso and put my arms around his neck.

I cuddled my face into the crook of his neck. He smelled like expensive cologne.

"I missed you" I mumbled into his neck

"I missed you too, love"

Love? I've never heard him call me that before but, I liked it

I unattached myself from him so that mine and his family could greet him too

We drove to our separate houses so that we could get ready for the dinner we were going to be having at Dacre's parents house later

I curled my hair into some loose beach waves and put some natural makeup on

I had bought a dress just for this occasion, I really hoped that Dacre it.

Once I put the dress on I felt so beautiful. My confidence level skyrocketed. I knew that he wouldn't be able to take his eyes off of me.
