Decorating

Summary: You and Dacre decorate the house and get into the Christmas spirit

Dacre and I have been putting off decorating for Christmas for the whole month but, since Christmas was in a week we assumed that we should probably start setting up

Before we went to bed, we both promised each other that we wouldn't put it off any longer

I woke up this morning and looked at my clock which read 10:00

I looked over to the other side of the bed where Dacre lay still fast asleep

I shuffled over to him on his side of the bed and cuddled into his side to wake him up

He stirred but didn't wake up so, I ran my fingers through his soft, fluffy blonde hair and his eyes fluttered open slowly. He was still visibly tired

"Good morning" I whispered softly into his chest

"Good morning, how'd you sleep?" Dacre asked me in his gruff morning voice

"I slept fine but, you snoring didn't help at all" I joked

"Hey, I'm not that bad!" he said in defense

"Ok" I said putting my hands up "remember, we're supposed to put up the decorations today"

He groaned

"Do we have to do that today? Can't we do it tomorrow or something?" He asked

"Nope. Now c'mon get up, we got work to do" I said, taking the blanket off of my body and setting it back on the bed neatly

I could hear Dacre complaining about how I never let him sleep in

I laughed to myself and finished getting ready

I came out of the bathroom after I was dressed and Dacre had already gotten all of the boxes of Christmas decorations out and they were scattered all around the living room

He had already started putting up the tree. We had a fake one because we were too lazy to go get a real one. Plus, the real ones are always messy

I helped Dacre set up the tree and once we were done, it was time to put on the ornaments and other decorations

We started making a popcorn garland. I popped the popcorn and put it in a bowl and got some string out

I went away for two seconds and when I came back, Dacre had the bowl of popcorn in his hand and he was eating it by the handfuls

"DACRE KAYD MONTGOMERY! PUT THE POPCORN DOWN RIGHT NOW THAT'S FOR THE TREE!"

I handed him the string "put the popcorn on this" I pointed to the string

"Gosh, sorry mom" he said sarcastically

I looked over my shoulder at him and rolled my eyes at him

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY BILLY HARGROVE BY A CHRISTMAS TREE

You were all done decorations and it was safe to say that you guys did a pretty good job

You were so tired from decorating so, you decided to put on a Christmas movie while you drank some hot chocolate and cuddled under a blanket on the couch

You turned on Christmas Vacation and sat in the couch

"See, isn't it nice to have the tree up so we can have some extra light in here?" I asked Dacre

He looked at me and pretended to be thinking

"Nah, light is overrated" he said

I rolled my eyes and looked back towards the movie

A few minutes later Dacre got to from the couch and called me over to where he was standing in the doorway

"Why?" I asked him

"Y/N just come here" he said very impatiently

"No, your gonna do something to me"

"No I'm not just come here"

"Fine" I gave in and walked over to where he was standing

I stood in front of him and crossed my arms in front of my chest

"What?" I asked

He smiled "look up"

Confused, I looked up and see why he was smiling. There was some mistletoe that he must've hung up when I wasn't looking

"If I remember correctly, we have to kiss now" he said

I smiled and I grabbed the sides of his face and pulled him into me

Our lips collided and moved perfectly in sync

We pulled apart and rested our foreheads together

"We should probably go back to the couch or out hit chocolate is going to get cold" I said breaking the comfortable silence

"Wow Y/N, you ruined the mood"

We both laughed and sat back down on the couch
