(Nvm this is another 5th grade one)
The sound of turning pages
The feel of paper on your skin as you turn to find what happens next
The surprise,
The horror
The sadness,
You feel it all at once when suddenly you find your favorite character has fallen
Though you want to put the book down,
You can't
You turn the page looking for a hope in the world
When you find there is none
Your favorite character is gone,
You turn the page again as the book puts you into a trance
You read on in pain
But you slowly find the book is coming to an end
What will you do once this book is over?
You don't know but instead of saving the book for later
You read on in a trance
When the book finally ends in joy or sadness
You feel a sense of closure tingle up you arm
You put the book down and look around
It's over
What will you do now?
You stand up and go to the book shelf putting the book away
You search for a new book
You find one but once you finish it
You don't feel the same as you did with that one book
That book that felt like it was made for you
