Ch. 21 "Gone"

                                                              Hayden POV 

Today it's just me and Pietro in the tower, The avengers went off on a recon mission, Apparently Fury got word that the HYDRA facility was attacked, 

Barely any survivors, 

I am just relaxing on the couch Reading a book trying to turn off my mind from the previous nights nightmares, 

Pietro said something about going running, 

The man likes to run, wish I had that sort of stamina, I had one leg over the other as I read, 

I hear someone Enter, 

"Hayden, I know you made it clear that you are done being an avenger but your the only one here," He said 

I sighed 

sitting up, 

"Just a disturbance call at a small shop not far," He said 

I stood up, 

"Well since I have nothing better to do, and you asked nicely," I said 

"Thank you," He said 

I just shrug, 

I get dressed in my attire, grabbing my bow and making my way to the disturbance call, 

It was dark out, by the time I got to the shop, 

It looked like something ripped the entire wall off the shop, 

the shop was destroyed, 

"What do you see?" Fury said 

"Something big did this, the entire wall has been ripped off," I said 

"I have a bad feeling about this," I mumbled 

"Just be alert," He said 

"funny.. like you have to tell me that," i said 

I slowly creep into the shop on high alert, for whatever did this, 

Suddenly I was grabbed and thrown, crashing into some shelving, 

I groaned standing up, 

"Did you miss me archer," I hear the hissing as he talked, 

I stand up seeing the crocodile man, 

"Your supposed to be dead.." I said 

"I was.." He hissed, 

"But don't worry I made sure that the people who brought me back won't be making that mistake again," He hissed, 

"Now lets begin where we left off," He hissed 

"Hayden get out of there!" Fury yelled 

I shot an arrow at him which he caught it exploded making him fly back, and I took off running out of the shop, 

Suddenly I was grabbed again and thrown into the side of a car which left  a dent, 

"You cannot escape me archer," He hissed 

I got of punching him in the stomach, he slashed at me with his claws getting me in the side,

I ran at him hitting him like he was a punching bag, he went to slice me again I ducked, 

He went to swipe my legs I jumped over his arm, 

I bounce my feet off the car, and kick him in the head, he stumbled back, 

                                          Clint POV

we were on the jet on the way back, we checked out the facility and found nothing but death including Hayden's real dad, 

It looked like they were tore apart by some animal, 

"Man, how are we going to tell her?" Steve said 

"I don't think that is really a problem look at all he did to her," Tony said 

"Sir there seems to be an urgent matter downtown when you arrive home," Friday said 

"What now?" Nat said 

A screen lowered and it was the news down town was completely trashed, and in view we see that Crocodile fighting Hayden, 

I stood up, 

"Hayden!" I said 

she was getting thrashed, 

Her suit was tore up, 

"We need to get there!" I said 

"Were still an hour out," Nat said 

                                                   Hayden POV 

I don't know how long I have been fighting this thing but I'm running out of steam, 

My breathing was heavy and ragged, 

The creature grabbed me by my suit, 

"it's time to die archer," He hissed, 

Suddenly he was pushed hard and I dropped, 

"Are you alright princess," Pietro said 

"You need to get out of here..." I said with heavy breathing 

"No, I'm not leaving you with that thing," He said 

We both started fighting off the creature but he was too strong,

I was thrown into another car denting it, 

Pietro was kneeling in front of me, 

"We must get out of here," He said 

I nodded but suddenly the creature's claw's went through Pietro from behind, 

"NO!" I yelled as he fell 

I caught him, 

I slowly laid him on the ground, 

"No, No, No," I said in a panic, 

His breathing was shallow, the claws went through his heart you could tell, 

"No, Pietro," I said as tears fell 

"It's.. Okay Princess,..." He said having trouble breathing, 

"No it's not," I said 

"Your Dying.." I said as I cried, 

"Promise me, you will not go back, or blame yourself," He said 

"I.. I promise," I said 

"I love you princess.." He said 

"I love you too," I said as tears fell from my eyes, 

His eyes closed 

"No, Pietro please! Please don't leave me!" I said as I cried, 

"I need you!!" I said becoming emotional, 

Suddenly claws went through my right shoulder, 

I fell on top of Pietro, my head on his chest, my vision started blurring, 

I see shadows, and then everything went black, 

I was just hoping I would die, so I could join Pietro, I don't deserve to live after this, I am completely heartbroken, the love of my life, gone all because of me,
