Distant Memories (Cynonari)

Escape plan

Two days had passed and I finally came up with my escape plan to see Nari.
My father had a party in the next hour which would give me the perfect opportunity to slip away from the guards.
He was already downstairs greeting guests when I tiptoed down the stairs and into one of the body guards rooms.
Wearing one of his suits I tied my hair back with my black sun glasses.
Sneaking out of his room I walked into the main hall calmly.
My father was distracted by those red heads as I slipped out the entrance.
Taking in a deep breath of the outside air as I walked into the front yard.
I knew there was a back gate used for supplies because I had seen it leaving when I was little.
Walking around the house and avoiding all the cameras I made it to the gate.
Making it to a large garage I called Nari.
"Uh-H hey Nari- I kinda escaped would you mind helping me-"
"FUCK YEAH- anyway I have an apartment?"
"Hold on let me get out of this warehouse-"
I put my phone down and snuck along the wall.
The garage was open as I snuck out onto the streets.
Through a small alleyway I found a bustling city.
Sorting a small cafe on the edge I picked my phone back up.
"I found this cafe it's like orange-"
"Yep I know where you are wait out front I'll be like 5"
He hung up quickly and I stepped towards the cafe.
It had small charms hanging in the windows and happy couples dining inside.
Everyone looked so happy and free.
I felt a hand in my shoulder.
Turning around prepared to fight I saw Nari holding his hands up.
"Quick let's go!"
He whispered as he grabbed my hand.
I watched the streets as he dragged me along towards an extremely tall building.
"Here we are almost there"
His little hand was tightly around my wrist as he walked up to the front desk and spoke.
"Tighnari"
The man nodded and turned to me but Nari spoke.
"Client"
Again the man shrugged it off and I was whisked off into an elevator.
"Once we get to my house we are safe"
"B-But what about my father-"
"We won't let him find you it's fine"
I nodded as the elevator dinged up level by level.
17-18-19-20-21
It let out a sharp ding before it stopped and the doors slid open.
Nari yanked me off down a corridor.
They were all the same colour until it came to one door at the end of the chain.
Number 362.
He opened the door to a plant covered kitchen and slammed it behind us.
"You can take off your get up now-"
I pulled off the glasses and let my hair flow over my shoulder.
My eyes went back to Nari who was covering his nose.
He looked sick.
"H-Hey what's wrong Nari-"
I placed my hands on his shoulder and looked at him nervously.
"I-Im fine Cyno- your just really quite hot when im not drunk or your in the dark"
My face turned a deep red at his words.
"Anyway- let me give you a tour-"
He lead me through the kitchen.
It was glossy black with a marble countertop, plants covering the walls and some hanging flowers.
Directing me into his living room he had white leather couches with a large flat screen television.
Much smaller then where I lived but I loved it.
I followed him to another small room.
"This is where we shit"
He laughed and dragged me out from what I expected to be as the bathroom.
Then he took me to a finally room with a large blue bed and yellow bedsheets.
"This is my bedroom as you have seen-"
I sat down on his bed and flipped backwards.
He spoke again as he sat next to me.
"Tired?"
I nodded my head.
"Hopefully you don't mind be either you could share my bed with me or you can have the couch?"
Sharing a bed with my crush?
Yes please?
I grabbed one of his pillows and snuggled into it.
It smelt like him and I heard him giggle.
"Made your decision?"
I nodded again and felt my eyes getting heavy.
He rubbed a hand on my back as I fell asleep.

4pm
I felt my shoulder getting shook.
"Hey Cyno Hey wakie wakie"
My eyes slowly opened and I found myself in my suit on Naris bed.
"I was to nervous to move you or dress you so I left you there-"
His voice was nervous but considerate.
I rubbed head and looked at him with sleepy eyes.
"It's fine.. but this suits uncomfy"
Nari started rushing around through his draws and found me a pair of green pjs.
"It's the largest thing I own-"
He was funny enough still wearing his beanie.
"Hey Nari why do you always wear that beanie"
His face turned to a startled one and he held his head.
"I guess you can know just don't say anything?"
I watched him lift the beanie off hesitantly.
A pair of huge soft looking green and black ears popped out from under the beanie.
They seemed to copy whatever emotion Nari took and I saw him lift something out of his pants.
Something fluffy and also large flicked around behind him.
My eyes were wide as I stood up and circled him.
"Can I-?"
He nodded and I reached for his ears.
They were soft and warm.
"Why cover it Nari?"
He sighed and his ears flopped with it.
"Ever heard of comments like 'furry' 'fox boy'"
"I- Oh I see-"
He nodded and I held his tail in my hands.
It was like a large ball of fluff.
I was mesmerised by the fuzzy components that were attached to him.
"C-Cyno you should get dressed"
"Yeah your right-"
Nari left the room and I changed into the pjs.
They were just right luckily.
I opened his bedroom door to see him humming to himself as his tail swished side to side.
My mind still couldn't believe something like this was real.
He turned around and giggled.
"I'm glad they fit! I'm just making some dinner come"
Speaking as he pointed me to the stool by the counter.
It looked like he was almost finished his cooking because he lifted the lid and started scooping some rice onto a plate.
Using the scoop he made a hole in the middle of the rice before he grabbed the pan and tipped half the chicken into the hole.
Picking it up he placed it in-front of me.
"For me?"
"Yes dumbass why would I put it there-"
He slid me a fork and nodded to me.
It looked good.
Nari made up a plate for himself and joined me at the counter.
I started eating it and it was better then all the expensive crap I was made to eat and those damn salads.
Salads are boring.
Nari was already munching away at his food while his ears calmly flicked side to side.
I spoke while I was eating.
"Nari your ears are cute"
He replied with a flustered expression.
"D-Don't speak with your-r mouth full-
Laughing I kept eating.
After I was finished it was already 5pm.
"Did you like your food?"
Smiling I spoke.
"Better then any of those disgusting salads Im forced to eat"
We both walked into the bedroom and I jumped onto his bed.
"Which side is mine?"
He got in the right side so I assumed mine was the left.
I was sharing a bed.
With a guy.
My crush.
