𝟯𝗥𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗩

Arlecchino walked toward y/n's room

You wouldn't be able to tell due to all the snow outside, but it was currently 6 am

Once she got to y/n's room, she knocked on the door
She heard footsteps and the door opened, y/n coming into view

"Ah...You're here early"

Y/n said
Arlecchino nodded

"I figured you'd be awake by now, it takes a while to walk from here to the orphanage, so I decided to leave as early as possible"

She said
Y/n sighed

"Alright, give me 5 minutes and I'll be ready"

She said, closing the door
Arlecchino stood there, waiting

A few minutes passed and y/n came out of her room, she wore a coat similar to Arlecchino's so she wouldn't freeze outside

"We can leave"

Y/n said
Arlecchino nodded and started walking

They were both silent the whole time, neither of them spoke

The two could be considered friends, but they barely acted like it, only seeing each other every once in a while for work purposes

Once they got to the orphanage, Arlecchino pulled out some keys from inside her jacket and unlocked the front door

"The children should still be asleep, if not only a few of them are awake"

She said
Y/n hummed

The inside of the orphanage was very dark, the walls were painted in grey and the floor was painted in a dark red colour

"It has a very...depressing...athmosphere, you could've at least brightened it up for the children, no?"

Y/n said
Arlecchino shook her head

"They grow up to become part of the fatui, they aren't going to live happy lives, they're lucky I allow them to play with toys and even play outside"

She said

"They're still very young..."

Y/n mumbled
Arlecchino then turned on the lights, they barely lit up anything, but at least stuff was more visible now

"I'll wake them up, you should prepare yourself, they can be very bothersome when they meet new people, knowing you and your short temper, I just want to make sure you won't bash their heads into my walls"

She said
Y/n scoffed

"Oh please, I would never go as far as killing a child"

She said, crossing her arms
Arlecchino hummed and walked away to wake up the children

Y/n could hear thumps a few seconds after Arlecchino left, she assumed those thumps were the children jumping out of their beds

After waiting for a few minutes, Arlecchino came back

"They're awake now..."

She whispered to herself
The children were running around

Arlecchino sighed

"Alright kids, come here"

She yelled
A few of them listened and got infront of her, while others kept running

Arlecchino looked at y/n
Y/n looked at her

"Did you try...yelling more than once?"

She asked
Arlecchino nodded
