Mario and Wario's relationship is similar to Mario's relationship with Bowser.
They argue, their competitive with one another, and are very snarky to each other
Mario sometimes calls out Wario for how greedy he is
While Wario on the other hand calls Mario out for being a goody too shoes all the time
But when the Wario Bros team up with the heroes they make quite the team on the battlefield
Mario is also rather soft on Wario sometimes since the both of them were friends when they were kids
So in the end their not friends but their not enemies
