"Lets see... The old man told me to 'go on a shopping spree' and then he would meet up with me. However I'm not quite sure what that means." I thought as I aimlessly walked the streets of Diagon Alley.

I pulled out the invitation letter I received to Hogwarts and turned to the back page.

Lastly, a message written in bold capital letters could be seen very clearly.

"PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS" It stated.

"Parents huh?" I thought while looking at the ground sadly.

I shook the dark thoughts I had away and composed myself. After all, I had no reason to worry about things that did not concern me. To distract myself of such negative thoughts I looked back at the requirements listed in the letter from Hogwarts.

"Guess I'll start with uniform." I said aloud, walking to my next destination.

I stopped in front of a shop with a large sign saying 'Madam Malkin's Robes' in elegant cursive letters. Once I entered, I began to receive strange stares from the other families purchasing clothing. Some looked at me with disgust, while others looked at me with confusion.

"I wasn't exactly what you would call a 'popular kid' in my old schools, but I didn't expect to be treated like an alien here!"

I arrived at the counter and rung the wooden bell, which somehow managed to make a loud ding. I assumed it was some magical charm casted to imitate the sound of a bell.
