The Animus NightWing, Shadowseer, paced back and forth. It was almost time, where was Legacy? She'd never been this late before. Just then, another dragon ran in. "Starfighter!? I told you not to-" Shadowseer started but was interrupted by the other dragon. "I-I'm sorry sir!" Said Starfighter, his voice was exhausted. "I'm sorry, but I had to tell you! L-Legacy is d-dead!" Shadowseer gasped. "No! How?" He asked. "Assassinated." Said Starfighter. "But-" Shadowseer started and then gave in. "What will we do about the egg?" He asked. "I don't know sir..." Said Starfighter. "I'm sorry..." "No! You! Aren't!" Shadowseer hissed. "Please! Stop!" Starfighter shouted, but it was to late, Shadowseer jumped at him, clamping his jaws down on Starfighter's throat. "N-n-no...! What...? Stop... I-it h-h-hurts...! Stop...!" Starfighter gasped, as Shadowseer let go of him. When Shadowseer let go Starfighter's body collapsed onto the ground. Dead.
Shadowseer rose to his feet. "Well..." He hissed. "If Legacy is dead. And Star is dead. I guess it's up to me now." He shook out his wings and walked out of the cave leaving Starfighter's body in darkness with blood streaming from his throat, creating a puddle around him.
About one hour later, Legacy walked in and gasped. She couldn't believe what she had done. She couldn't believe she hadn't seen THIS future! Not Starfighter! ANYONE but Starfighter.
This was all HER fault! She collapsed next to Starfighter and let out a choked sob. He'd been so loyal. Too loyal. So loyal he had just sacrificed himself for her. Right? Shadowseer had done this she expected. Then a vision hit her. It was a vision of the past. Yes. Shadowseer. He killed Star. He had, and now Legacy wanted to stop him from hurting more dragons. But she couldn't. Starfighter had lied to protect her. If Shadowseer saw her he would think she was a ghost. A mere spirit coming back to haunt him. He wouldn't listen, she knew that. She lay exhausted on the floor and sobbed beside Star's body.
She stood up. "I WILL avenge Starfighter." Her voice echoed around the empty caves and her eyes lit with a purple light. From across a lake Shadowseer saw something. 'Oh no!' He thought. 'But- wait! Legacy was dead! She couldn't be doing this!' But then, the whole mountain cracked down the side. He'd made a mistake, hadn't he. He shouldn't have killed Starfighter! He flew away as fast as possible. He knew he couldn't hide from Legacy for long, but he had to enchant the SkyWing egg first- before she caught up to him- because if that happened- well if that happened then it would all be over... He flew into the distnace- toward the Sky Kingdom to enchant the egg.
I'm sorry, that was a bit short! How'd you like it? I'll get the next chapter as soon as possible! :)
Sincerely, your friend Moon.
