Chapter 1

Falcon was born during two full moons, the Sky Kingdom had expected her to have some magic... maybe even be the dragonet from Legcay's prophecy, but she had shown nothing. Falcon didn't want to disappoint her tribe, but that was always impossible... She sighed as she sat on her balcony, looking out at the mountains and forests beyond the edges of the Sky Kingdom.

She honestly hoped that she wasn't the one with the big 'Saving The World Or Destroying It' thing. Well, she had the description; Blood red scales and amber eyes... Nothing had happened, so fare.

She wasn't aloud to go far from the Sky Kingdom castle, but she flew out anyway. Into the unknown (Yes, that was reference). Amongst the mountains, swooping over fields and lakes, it was beautiful!

When she flew back to her balcony her mother, Kite, was there. "There you are, Falcon." She said when Falcon landed. "There's a royal feast in honor of the new queen, and we're invited!" Kite said, excitedly. "Queen Amber? And King Quartz?" Falcon asked. "Amber the daughter of Crimson and Cliff?" (Yes, I mean Prince Cliff from the WoF books) She asked. "Yes!" Said Kite, walking inside and motioning for Falcon to follow her, which Falcon did so.

They walked down stairs together, talking. 'My mom's the only one who ever treats me even a little well, and I guess Merlin's not the worst...' Falcon thought. Her thoughts were interrupted by her mother saying something as they reached the bottom of the staircase. "Falcon, I think you should get ready." Said her mother. "Oh, sure mother." Falcon said, going to get her golden translucent scarf to drape around her neck while her mother went off to her room as well.

When Falcon finished getting ready she came out of her room and her brother, Merlin, was sitting down, already ready. "Hi sis." He said and his tail flicked, whipping against the ground softly. "Hi." Said Falcon blankly, sitting down to wait for their parents.

They'd been sitting there for a good five minutes when at last Kite and Flare were ready and came into the living room, Flare's tail was thrashing from side to side like usual. "Let's go, right now!" Kite yelped, and Merlin snorted. Falcon got up, nodding.

Kite ran out of the door and Flare slowly followed, then Falcon and Merlin. Merlin was probably thinking about guard duty... 'Boooooring.' Falcon thought, as she walked out.

They flew out of their tower they lived in and flew towards the royal palace.

They soared down in wide circles, as they descended toward the palace, finally landing. Falcon looked around. 'So many other dragons.' She thought, looking around. 'Amber's crowning of Queen must be a big deal. It's like every dragon in the kingdom was invited.' She thought. Really, every dragon in the kingdom probably was invited, they just weren't all here yet, considering the fact there were still more dragons descending the sky and landing amongst the crowd.

Falcon heard something and looked up. There, on a high tower were Amber and Quartz. "Hello, my loyal subjects!" Amber called, she sounded very nice but Falcon swore that one o the guards looked had met eyes with Falcon for one second and she saw a little glimmer in his eye. An evil glimmer. Then is was over and he looked away. Falcon brushed it off and kept on looking at the Queen.

Another SkyWing walked up beside her and her brother. "Allow me to introduce myself." He said looking at her. "I'm Agni, I work in the prisons with your brother." He said. "Hello. I'm Falcon." Said Falcon. "Well hi Falcon." Said Agni, Falcon nodded and looked back up at the Queen, who's speech she'd already missed half of.

"As I was saying, my name is Amber and this Quartz." Said the Queen, motioning to Quartz. I defeated my mother, Crimson, last night. We will morn for her, but we have a new Queen and King! Me and my husband Quartz! As for the old king, Cliff, he is okay and will live out the rest of his days in peace. Thank you for listening to my speech, let's go inside and feast! And, General Gale, could you secure the palace? I wouldn't want anything to happen to me." She said, turning to the SkyWing that had looked at Falcon. "Yes, your majesty." Said the SkyWing apparently named Gale. "Thank you." Said Amber, as she walked inside.

Gale lifted off the balcony and flew low, just above the heads of the gathered SkyWings, several other dragons followed him. 'Why would she have to secure the palace? And why did Gale look at me like that?' Falcon wondered, then she felt someone push her softly and was knocked out of her train of thought. "Hey! What are you-?" She said surprised. "Sorry, did I scare you?" Said Agni. "Everyone's going inside for the feast, you weren't going so I pushed you a bit." He said. "Oh, no I wasn't scared, just surprised." Said Falcon walking away.

The feasting table was huge. Falcon went in and sat down next to her brother. "Hey, Merlin," She whispered. "What do I do now?" You can just eat, if you are careful not to spill anything." He whispered back. "Um, alright." Said Falcon and slowly picked up a piece of fish, being careful not to mess anything up. No one reacted and Falcon smiled at her brother. "Thanks." She said and Merlin nodded in acknowledgement. "No problem." He said.

Once the feast was finished the dragons danced and played games. Falcon didn't wanna dance but finally her mother convinced her to dance a little with a 5 year old dragonet named Canary. Falcon played a couple games and stuff then it was time to leave. Falcon hadn't seen Gale again.

They said their farewells to the Queen and King and Agni, because he insisted, and then they flew off towards their tower again.

As they flew Falcon looked down and saw... Gale?  was that Gale beneath them!? Then the dragon disappeared into a patch of trees. 'It must've been my imagination...' Falcon thought. 'But still...' She kept on flying, even when she thought she saw a movement beneath her.
