𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐅𝐓𝐇 started off as a normal day for kaylina and notti, the only thing special being a basketball game that night. however, it ended up being a day that neither of the young teens would ever be able to forget.

*but, we're getting a little ahead of ourselves. so, let's jump back two days prior for some context.*

kaylina sat at her kitchen table eating a bowl of mac and cheese that she had just cooked for herself and scrolling through tiktok on her phone. it was a wednesday night, meaning her mom was working the night shift and she was home alone. usually, she'd invite notti over to hang out at her house but when the two had left practice together that evening, he seemed frantic and panicky and said he had to rush home to handle something.

the girl didn't really think much of it, assuming that his mom found his weed stash or something like that. she waited with him as he flagged a cab, deciding that the train would take too long, and reminded him to text her when he got home as he climbed into it. he asked if the girl was riding with him and she softly shook her head no.

"nah i have to stop by mali's job to drop off her cheer uniform." she says, holding up the bag that was in her right hand. "but, safety my heart." she leaned into the cab to hug the boy and then slammed the door shut, watching as the cab pulled off.
