❝ 𝐌𝐀 𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐔𝐏! ❞kaylina calls loudly, clacking down the hallway in her black heels. she already had her jacket on and had begun to sweat because of how long she'd been waiting for her mother.
notti's family had invited kaylina and maria over to bring in the new year with them. kaylina loved notti more than anything and absolutely adored his family. maria loved the joy that notti bought to her daughter.
"ay kaylina it's only 10, the ball is still on the charger." the older woman teases, quickly covering the aluminum pan containing the tamales that she had made to take to the reyes household. she didn't believe in showing up empty handed to events that she was invited to.
"maaaa you're not funny. i jus don't wanna be late." kaylina whines, making her way towards the door.
kaylina wasn't at all a bratty girl. this was just the dynamic that existed between her and maria. the way she was acting was exactly how her mother acted toward her all the time. it didn't bother either of them. this was just the way they were.
"you drive me crazy, cariña. do you know that?" maria asks, walking over and handing the long pan to kaylina. she reaches up to the door rack, grabbing her beige colored jacket and slipping it on.
