❝ 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐌𝐀? ❞ notti asks, resting his hand on kaylina's rapidly bouncing knee. she just nods in response, giving the boy a small smile.
he could tell that she was lying but chose not to push the issue. he knew she'd talk about it when she was ready.
the two had returned to school today and had received endless amounts of dirty looks and little whispers as they walked. notti was never the type to care what people were saying behind his back but kaylina was. he could tell that it was getting to her by the way she was chewing on her nails as her leg bounced up and down.
"what we doin after school?" she asks, sketching small shapes in the corner of her loose leaf.
"we goin to my crib first to chill for a little and then we goin home." kaylina smiled softly and all of the negative energy melted out of her body at the sound of notti calling her house "home".
"yo lina." dd speaks up from the seat behind her. "do you know how to spell hypothesis?" notti breaks out laughing as his brother just mugs him.
"you can't sound it out?" she asks, causing dd to shake his head.
"i tried but it jus look wrong." he hands her his paper and she tries her hardest not to laugh at the word 𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐒 scribbled on it.
