PATALASTAS LANG PO ITO!

Pero mamya mag update din po ako.

I just want to express my excitement. Para sa akin isa ito sa mga historic moments on TV! Opo medyo OA lang ako because as fas as I can remember, there has never been a show like this on Philippine TV.

I don't watch TV that much since I got my own laptop, I prefer to download stuff na lang para mapanuod ko kung ano lang yung gusto ko.

I've never been this excited to watch a premier of a TV Show, a Telenovela as a matter of fact. I'm not a fan of Telenovelas at all.

The Rich Man's Daughter will be aired on Monday, May 11. And yes, corny man pero I am excited. Not because I am fan of the actors or actresses but finally there will be a representation of Lesbian/Bisexual Females on Philippine TV. And take note, they are not just supporting roles as what they normally would be, they are the main characters. The main protagonist of the story, based on what I've read, is a closet lesbian. I'm sure this show will create a lot of controversy and criticisms. What do we expect? Nasa Pinas tayo. Lahat ng hindi "normal" para sa nakakarami ay masama "daw". Not fair right? Kaya nga I'm thankful to these types of shows.

Sa totoo po eh Kapamilya talaga ako, I know more Kapamilya shows and artists than Kapuso. But I applaud GMA for being brave and for giving a voice to the LGBT community. I think it started with My Husband's Lover, which featured Gay Men as main characters and guess what? They ended up being together, this is based on what my friend told me. I haven't seen a single episode of that show. Sorry naman, di talaga ako mahilig manuod ng TV.

I just hope there will be a lot of shows like this. I mean, di ko naman hinihiling na puro mga LGBT-centric ang magiging palabas sa TV pero sana hindi na ito yung huli. Gets niyo naman ibig ko sabihin. Hehe

I also hope the actors and actresses chosen to relive these parts would do justice to these characters and represent the Lesbian/Bisexual Female community in a positive way.

Salamat po sa mga nagbasa nito. This is just my little way of representing/promoting LGBT Visibility because I'm a part of the small community. Let's forget all stereotypes and just love who we love.
