Even though I wanted to decline with my whole body, soul, and next few generations, I just knew my whole grade depended on this.

I sighed, "6 pm at mine. Don't be late," I warned.

With a huge grin, he still followed me until we had to separate ways for our classes.

"See you, Yera," he waved at me.

Cute.

Oh no, I shouldn't be thinking this. I know Jaeyun can be a very bright and happy person, that's probably why I took an interest in him before but I can't let myself repeat that mistake.

"Bye," I just muttered.

-

After all my classes finished, I went ahead to take a shower in my dorm. After that, I changed into something comfortable and did my skincare.

Today, I decided to eat in the cafeteria. Even though I hated social interacting, I knew that it's absolutely not healthy for me to keep locking myself in. Even if that meant that everyone will think weird of me because I'm eating alone.

As I went down to eat, I put my tray on an empty table. To my dismay, I didn't look where it was located at, so I made straight eye contact with Jaeyun who was sitting two tables away from me.

Oh God, why can't I escape this dude?

I faced down and started eating in silence while checking out my phone.

As always, it seemed to be completely empty. What I noticed though, was that my dad called me half an hour ago... After waiting for his call for literally weeks, I of course had to miss it.

I decided to call him back, having no hope of him picking it up.

"Hello?" I heard after several beeps.

"Dad, hello. It's me," I greeted.

"Ah, Yera. It's been a while," he answered, sounding somehow happy.

"Yeah, university has been stressful. Where are you at right now?" I questioned, hoping to be able to visit him soon.

"I'm in Italy, Milan to be exact-"

Suddenly I heard a feminine voice on the other side of the phone.

"Darling, are you coming? The guests are here," she interrupted.

I knew that voice even though I didn't hear it often, I'd never forget it. His new wife.

"Listen, Yera. I need to end the call, see you soon," he spoke quickly, being in a hurry to end the call.

"But Dad-" beep, beep, beep.

He did it again. Since he started his new family, he had no time to call me, text me, whatsoever.

Of course it hurt. I felt a sting in my heart. No matter how often he did this, the pain always remained and reminded me of the loss of a father figure all over again.

I locked my phone and lightly threw it on the table.

After that call, I had no appetite and just decided to go up to my dorm again.

As I was about to stand up, I noticed Jaeyun taking a seat across from me.

"Cheer up," he demanded with a smile.

"Ugh, what do you want now?" I groaned.

"You always eat alone."

"So?" I frowned.

"I want to accompany you."

"No," I replied simply.

"Did something happen? You look sad," he bit his lip nervously.

"Tell me why that should be any of your business," I replied harshly.

"It isn't but can't I just listen to the problems of a friend?"

"Friend? Since when are we friends? Leave me alone," I stood up and wanted to take my tray with me.

He stopped my movements by grabbing my wrist. "But you almost didn't eat anything?" he stared into my eyes.

"That's because I saw your face, so I lost my appetite. Now let my wrist go."

Upon hearing my words, he seemed to only realize now that he had grabbed my wrist. He slowly let go of it and I threw my tray on the rack.

Why can't he just mind his own business, does he have no friends or what?

As I arrived in my room, I took a look on the clock. It's 5 pm, I'm just going to take a short power nap, this will help to calm my mind. By then I will definitely wake up.

-

I woke up to the noise of repeating knocking on my door.

As I opened the door to see who was waiting so impatiently, I was met with an irritated Jaeyun.

"What took you so long? I thought you died."

"I was sleeping, idiot," I rolled my eyes and opened the door for him to enter.

"May I come in?" he asked gently.

Still the same careful, respectful and annoying Jaeyun, huh?

"Go ahead," I replied simply.

As he closed the door, Jaeyun took a seat next to me on my couch and put his books on the table.

"Okay, listen. I already have a plan how we can do it, it's actually not that hard. I hope you read the sheet he gave us," he opened one of the books.

"Of course I did. 90-minutes-lecture, self-created tasks, a handout and understandable language," I listed.

"Great. I'm sure you're already familiar with the topic, so let's just get right into it if you don't mind."

"Actually I only have some basic knowledge but nothing too big. Mind explaining to me?" I admitted.

"Sure. So, the first law of Kepler describes the orbits on which planets move around the sun. The planets move on elliptical orbits. In a common focal point is the sun," he explained.

"The second one says-" I couldn't help but to stare at him. While he was talking, I could see a spark in his eyes. I knew that Jaeyun's passion was physics, he was always in love with that subject. Seeing him still enjoying the things he did years ago, made me somehow happy. I just couldn't help but to smile at him while he was explaining.

"...And that leads to the conclusion that- Why are you smiling like that?" he knitted his eyebrows.

author's note: Yesterday, I had to call the police because some dude wanted to hug my mom and some buses... I wish I just made that up but sadly, it's true.
