You were in the Butterfly Estate where the Insect pillar, A.K.A your girlfriend, Shinobu, lives. Although you like being a demon slayer, your desk was piling up with paperwork you had to complete in the next few days.
Lately you've been getting a lot of work, and usually you're fine, but this time it's too much. Like.. an unreasonable amount of work. What makes it worse is that it has to be done in a few days. It's so stressful.. but you have to do it anyway. You are currently at your desk now filling out this work.
Day 1
"(Y/N)? What are you doing?"
Shinobu said with her sweet smile. A smile only reserved for your eyes.
"Oh, Shinobu? I'm just filling out some paperwork."
You said with a tired smile.
"It looks like an awful lot of work. Here, I'll help y-"
"NO! I-I mean uh.. I'm fine doing it by myself, Butterfly. How about you go to bed, yeah?"
She looked at you with a confused and suspicious expression, but she then shrugged it off and smiled at you once more.
"Oh. Okay (Y/N). Just make sure you get some rest, okay?"
"I will, Shinobu."
But you were lying. You weren't going to get any sleep. You needed to finish this work. No matter how long it takes.
Day 2
By the time it was morning, you were still up filling the papers with words and numbers, the usual. You realized that Shinobu would be up around this time.. Which is why you had an excuse already in your head.
Shinobu came in the room, but was confused when she saw you still awake.
"(Y/N)? You're up this early?"
"Yeah, I need to finish this work for Oyakata-sama."
Shinobu was skeptical, but left you to do your work anyway.
You were still in my working room in the middle of the day when Shinobu came in with food.
"Honey, I know you're still working, but you still have to eat."
