You absolutely love talking to people. You've talked with more people than you can count. But there is ONE girl you haven't talked with. Her name was Kanao. Since you haven't talked with her much,you don't know a lot about her,except her name,of course,but you got it from tanjiro. You finally decided to try and be her friend.
"Ahh..where could she be?.."
You were currently wandering around trying to find her.
"Hmm..Kanao! Kanao? Where are yoou?~"
You sang.
You went out to the back porch and saw her sitting there staring into the sky.
"Oh,Hi Kanao!"
You ran while waving to her. She turned to you and flipped a coin. You didnt see what it landed on but after she saw what side it was on,she turned back to you and waved.
You made it to her and sat down next to her.
'Hello Kanao! Im (Y/N)! I've heard a little about you,but I want to get to know you more..So let's be friends,yeah?"
She looked at you again and flipped her coin. You grabbed it mid-air and hid it behind your back. As this happened her eyes widened and she looked at you once more.
"Kanao,why do you keep using this?"
"U-Um..because..I use it to decide what I do.."
You sighed.
"Kanao,tell me. Are you this coin? Is this coin your conscience?"
"N-No.."
"That's right! It isnt,so you should decide for yourself! Not use this coin!"
You smiled brightly at her.
She just looked at you. You could only think of a few more things to say.
"Kanao,I'm saying you should let your heart decide what you want. You can choose what you wanna do or say or whatever!"
Her eyes softened a little. You frowned at what you were about to say.
"But..if you still want to use this coin..go ahead. I won't hold you back. But this time,you decide."
You said as you grabbed one of her hands to put the coin.
"Don't use the coin okay?"
She nodded.
"Do you want to be my friend? I won't be hurt if you say no."
She looked at the coin in her hand and closed her palm. She then looked at you.
"Yes."
"YAY!! Let's be the bestest of friends!"
You hugged her. She didn't know what to do so she didn't hug back or anything.
"You can hug me back if you'd like."
She immediately hugged back. She had no idea why but she hugged you anyway.
You let go of her and she followed. She was smiling,but not her usual smile. One that looked happier,more genuine.
You held her hand and talked about her. Questions like "What do you like to eat?"
Or "whats your favorite color?" were asked. She answered all of them without hesitation,or using the coin. Infact,the coin was in her pocket. She didnt use it the whole time you two were talking.
But good times have to end eventually,and this one ended with you having to get assigned a brand new mission.
Your Kasugi crow flew to you.
"CAAAW! CAAW! GET UP! YOU HAVE A MISSION AT KUMORI VILLAGE! BABIES ARE GOING MISSING AT NIGHT!"
"Aw man! Kanao,I have to go."
Kanao look genuinely sadly at hearing this.
"Don't worry! Ill be back right after i finish this mission!"
She lightened up a little.
You got up.
"Bye Kanao! See you later!"
You said as you ran off.
"O-Oh! Bye (Y/N)! Be back soon! Thank you.."
"YOUR WELCOOOOME!!"
Bonus!
Kanao POV:
"Hello Kanao! How are you?"
I turned around to see Tanjiro running towards me.
"I heard you talked with (Y/N)! Howd it go?"
I know i blushed a little when he said her name,but i had to play it off.
'It was good. I talked a lot with her."
"Oh! You didnt use your coin! Why? Its rare i see you not using it!"]
I suddenly remembered her words.
"Kanao,I'm saying you should let your heart decide what you want. You can choose what you wanna do or say or whatever!"
"Because..I should let my heart decide what I want.."
"Thats amazing! Im glad! Listening to your heart is a good thing."
I nodded my head.
"Wanna go somewhere now? Its the whole reason I came looking for you!"
"Okay."
We talked the whole way to wherever we wanted to go. All I talked about was (Y/N). I couldnt help it,but at the same time,I knew what I was doing. I know I love her. I know its sudden,but i can't help it.
