"Mommy!!!" I turn my head because I know that sweet squeaky voice anywhere. It's my little girl. I could run and hide, I think to myself as I panic. She will just think mommy is playing, but in my heart, I know it would be to keep my secret. She is my secret; my baby girl has been my secret for almost two years.
"Mommy" She calls out my name again and I smile. I wait for her to reach me, I could never forgive myself if I was to ignore her and act like I didn't know her. My little Stai (pronounced Stay), her father chose that name so that she will stay put and never leave since I couldn't. She finally reaches me, I swooped her up into my arms, kissed her little chubby cheeks, and squeezed her tight.
She laughs and tries to squeeze me as tight as her little arms will allow. I see her aunt come running towards us with a worried look on her face as my husband and two sons ask at the same time "who is that" with a confused look on their faces. She is not my husband's child.
