  I sat slowly down into the old chair, and sighed slowly as the red light of the fire grazed on my wrinkly skin. The more I thought about Adam, the more I could feel myself start to remember farther back...

*76 YEARS BACK- ITS 1935, ELLIE IS 15*

The closer he got, on his great horse, the more I was fascinated by this great man. Green eyed, muscular and brunette hair. He looked like some kind of general, or at least someone important to the army. “Ellie, aren’t you going to hug your brother?” Poppy asked as she came up behind me, touching my shoulder lightly. That was the first time I looked away from the great man on his great horse. I shrugged and made my way towards my brothers and my father. They bundled me into their arms and I sighed into them. “I have missed you my darling Ellie, you have been keeping good care of your mother? Good.” I nodded and looked back to the man.

  He was almost to us now, and what next shocked me. I seemed to have caught his eye, and he hopped off his great horse; and headed my way.

 “What has caught your eye, Ellie?” My brother Connor came up to us and grabbed my arm. I didn’t have time to speak before the man reached me. “Oh, General Lock, can I help you with something?” My brother and father stood erect and saluted him. He smiled and glanced down at me; grabbing my hand lightly and kissing it, I blushed red. “I just wanted the pleasure of meeting your darling daughter, Max. I mean daughters. Your names?” Poppy, Lauren, Jezebel and I all curtsied. He was still looking at me though, and there was a glint in his eye. “Well, this is my oldest Ellie, my youngest Poppy and my other daughters Lauren and Jezebel. We are having a ball to celebrate our great winning at the town’s hall, maybe you can join us?” He smiled at my father and then smiled at me. “Of course, and please.” He said and looked down at me, grabbing my hand once more. “Call me Adam.” And kissed it.
