"oh" was all Minerva managed to say

"See I told you," Arya said

"She will never like me"

"Well Arya my dear we will never know, she does seem like a nice respectable young lady though"

"She will never talk to me I'm just a mudblood to her she doesn't care about me," Arya told the elder which.

"Arya Marie Whitlock never and I mean never call yourself that again do you understand you are so much more than your blood status and I won't hear any more of that talk from you understood?" Minerva said in a very serious tone

"Yes ma'am," Arya said quietly.

"it's getting pretty late and you have to wake up early tomorrow for classes we can talk more after school but I suggest you get to your common room okay?" Minerva said standing up

"Okay," Arya said standing up as well. Right before she opened the door Minerva said

"And Arya don't let people get to you if they got to know you they would understand that you are a wonderful person, and if I might suggest you never know how a certain someone feels about you if you never go talk to them" Arya flashed her a small smile as she walked out the door, as she knew she was only saying that to make her feel better. Arya made her way back to the common room to find her friends waiting for her on the couch.

"Arya how are you doing be honest," James said

"I'm ok guys honestly" she tried her best to lie

"Ari you know that won't work with us," Remus said

"Ok well maybe I'm not doing so good right now but it will get better I promise," Arya said taking a seat next to Lilly. Everyone laughing and chatting about who they think will be in their classes Arya forgot for those short 30 minutes what she felt, it was like everything that had happened that day just disappeared that's what's he loved about being with her friends all of the horrible thoughts went away.

"Well Arya and I should get to bed you know how much she hates getting up in the morning." Lilly laughed.

"Yea I think we should get to bed too see you in the morning," Remus said and everyone went to their dorms. Arya lay in her bed staring at the ceiling contemplating everything. That's what she did when she couldn't sleep, which was most of the time. As the clock ticked she sat up and looked over at Lilly who was sound asleep in her bed. Arya often wondered what she was thinking about becoming her friend. She didn't understand how someone like Lilly could ever stand to be friends with someone like herself. Arya laid back down and eventually fell asleep.

'Ding ding' Arya didn't move
'Ding ding' Arya ignored it for the second time
'Ding di-' Lilly had walked over and stopped her alarm for her.

"Arya wake up you don't want to be late on your first day," the redhead said. Arya groned but eventually got up and walked to the bathroom. Picking up her toothbrush and brushing her teeth she couldn't help but look at her reflection in the mirror. Her messy hair, the bags under her eyes, and her face had acne spots scattered around.

Once she finished brushing her teeth she washed her face and brushed her shoulder-length brown hair. She grabbed her makeup bag and began concealing her acne spots and eye bags. She threw on some eyeliner and mascara. She looked at the time and quickly threw on her robes and made her way to the common room to find her friends all laughing on the couch.

"Well here comes our hot gay best friend for the first day of  fourth year," Sirius said as she sat next to him.

"Oh shut it," she said
