"Watch where you going" he spat as he turned around to face the teary-eyed Arya

"oh look it's the mudblood," he said laughing Arya tried to walk faster but Lucius got in her way

"For Merlin's sake Arya you do look like a mess, I mean you always do but today you just look pathetic." Arya couldn't help but cry more.

"Now I see why everyone talks about you, you really are just a pathetic baby who none likes, your so-called friends don't even like, you," he said laughing

"Lucius Malfoy I want you in my office now," A voice said from behind, It was Minerva. She walked him to her office scolding him on the way, and Narcissa approached Arya.

"Are you ok?" she asked Arya

"Yea I'm fine," Arya said wiping her tears. Narcissa stared at the girl for a second.

"No your not, come I'll help you get fixed up," Narcissa said and grabbed  Arya's hand walking towards the prefect's bathroom.

"I can't go in here," Arya said sniffling

"Well I pulled a couple of stings because of my family name and now I have full access to this bathroom so it's okay," Narcissa said reassuring the girl. They walked over to the fancy sink and Narcissa started to run some warm water. She cupped the girl's face and gently began to take off the smeared makeup.

"Thank you, Narcissa but you really don't have to," Arya said avoiding eye contact with the girl and looking at the ground.

"I know but I want to," she said smiling at Arya and picking her chin up as they made eye contact. Arya's face started to heat up.

"What happened," Narcissa said grabbing another wipe to wipe off the makeup.

"Well, it's. It's a long story" Arya said looking down again.

"Well I have time if you want to tell me if not I understand, I know we only started talking today." Arya couldn't help but wonder why Narcissa the youngest out of the the pure-blood black family was treating her with such kindness.

"It probably sounds so foolish but my friends just kept bashing me for someone I like and wouldn't hear me out," Arya said

"No one's problems are stupid Arya it's ok I'm sorry that happened to you," Narcissa said Moving some hair behind the girl's ear. They sat in silence while Narcissa helped Arya, then they made eye contact and both of the girls blushed.

"Arya you fascinate me so much," Narcissa said studying the girl's features.

"How so?" Arya asked

"I just don't understand how someone so beautiful can think the opposite of herself," Narcissa said grabbing Arya's hand.

"I-uh doesn't know what to say" Arya managed to say, Narcissa gave her a heartfelt smile.

"Arya doesn't let them get to you don't let anyone get to you, you are extraordinary," Narcissa said.

After lunch, Arya spent the rest of the day avoiding her friends she needed time to herself to think.

"Arya I'm-" Sirius tried to talk to her but she just walked passed him. Arya had one class left for the day, Transfigurations with Minerva.

"Ok everyone, take a seat please," she said as everyone started strolling in.

Arya had taken a seat in the middle because all of the seats in the back were taken.

James and Sirius had this class with her but she paid no mind to them. As it turns out Narcissa also had this class and she took a seat next to Arya. Sirius turned to James.

"That prick," he said mentioning Narcissa and Arya sitting in front of them.

"Hi," Arya said

"It's nice to see you again"

"Hello Arya it's good to see you," She said smiling. Narcissa amazed Arya with how perfect she was at almost everything, talking to people, school, the list goes on. After classes had ended Minerva asked Arya to stay behind.

"Why are you avoiding your friends Arya?" the elder witch asked

"I just need some time to process and think things over, now I'm going to the common room if that's ok with you?" Arya asked

"Well don't let me stop you," Minerva said as Arya walked away. When she walked into the common room her friends were all sitting on the sofa and they looked worried. A string of 'Arya wait' could be heard but she paid no mind to them as she walked up to her room, and shut the door. But Lilly walked in shortly after

"Arya.." she started

"Lilly" Arya responded harshly 

"Why are you avoiding us?" Lilly asked

"I'm not avoiding you Lilly I love you I'm simply avoiding the boys you just so happen to be hanging around," Arya said

"What happened?" she asked

"I'm sure they already told you, Lilly, but please I just want some time to myself," Arya said and Lilly walked out the door.

Arya made her way to the bathroom, took off her clothes, and slowly looked at herself in the mirror thinking about what Narcissa has told her.

"Your extraordinary" the words played in her mind over and over again.

But then Lucius' words started too.

"Your pathetic" they played over Narcissa's words louder and louder till she couldn't take it anymore. She had picked up the blade she hadn't picked up in months. Her hand shakingly brought it to her thigh as tears started spilling from her eyes"

"Even your friends don't like you" his words repeated louder. As she slowly started to cut away at the healed flesh. Her mind was foggy and clouded. She threw the blade in the sink and painfully walked to the shower and turned it on still sobbing.

As she stepped into the water the cuts immediately started to sting and she flinched pulling her leg back. She fully got into the shower the water running down her legs turned red washing the cuts out.

She got out wrapped her leg up, disposed of the blade, and cleaned the floor. Arya opted for baggy clothes. It was only 7:30 so no one was in their rooms but throughout the school.

Not even brushing her hair she made her way through the common room and the astronomy tower. People giving her weird looks along the way. She sat there and stared at the stars. Something she often did to get her mind to stop thinking, she admired them.

She was so focused on them that she didn't keep track of the time or footsteps approaching her.

"What are you doing here Arya it's 11:50," Narcissa asked her taking a seat next to her.

"Oh just um- just thinking," she said slurring her words but Narcissa knew something was wrong. Narcissa pulled the girl close to her and help her get up.

"Come on let's get you back to your room and bed," she said Aryia sucked in a sudden breath from the sharp pain in her thigh. Narcissa brushed it off for the moment but was suspicious. Narcissa helped the half-asleep Arya to her bed, which meant walking into the Gryffindor common room but it was late so there shouldn't be anyone there right?

As she walked in with Arya she sighed when she saw Sirius sitting on the couch bouncing his leg.

'Oh gosh,' she thought to herself but kept waking.

"Come here y-" Sirius started but was interrupted

"No Sirius just no," Narcissa said and walked away with Arya. Once she made sure Arya would be okay she met Sirius in the common room again.

"Narcissa listen to me leave her alone and stop-"

"Sirius if you took one look at Arya or even asked how she felt you would know she is not okay, she seems to be blowing everyone off, yes I just started talking to her today but I have been a better friend to her than you ever were, so don't sit here and scold me on what I should and shouldn't be doing and look in the mirror for a change," she said and stormed off.
