The winter dance is coming up soon and of course I wanna go with brendon but I don't have enough courage to ask and I know he's not gonna ask me I walked into school watching as the other girls got asked I looked down as I walked to my locker when I opened it a note fell out "winter dance?" It said it wasn't signed by anyone I looked around and then back to the note I put it in my bag and went to my first class and then my second before heading to lunch
"Hey b" I said "hey y/n" he said hugging me "I got this note in my locker" I said handing it too him "ooo sounds like someone wants to go with you" he smirked "yeah I just don't know who they didn't sign it" I said furrowing my eyebrows as I looked at it "who are you asking?" I asked hoping he would say me but I knew he wouldn't "I don't know" he said shrugging well at least it's not some other girl
After school I still was trying to figure out who it was I got in Brendon's car and started talking about it "I just don't know who could have put this in there" I went on a rant before noticing he was smirking "what are you....is this?.." I was in disbelief he nodded "this is from you?" I asked again just making sure "yeah" he said "I figured because were kinda best friends and we don't have anyone to go with we could go together" yep he definitely doesn't like me I just got friend zoned "oh brendon that's so sweet" I said putting on a smile and hugging him "well I wouldn't want to go with anyone else" he said I felt butterflies in my tummy
The night of the winter dance
I decided to wear a blue dress and brendon wore a black tux he looked so handsome we got there it was going great I started to get nervous though. I know they were going to have a slow dance soon. And lo and behold about five minutes later it happened. brendon stuck out his hand to me "may I have this dance?" He asked I giggled "yes" he pulled me in close as we danced and I blushed he was a good dancer he definitely prove that tonight After that last dance, the dance was over and got back in his car to go home we sat there for a minute "thanks for going with me tonight" he said "of course I had a lot of fun" I replied
