Several months have passed since Frieza returned and was defeated, now Goku and Vegeta were sparring and Y/n watches the two fighters intently. He was impressed by their combat prowess, since he still had very little combat experience, especially when compared to his father, Lord Beerus.

Lord Beerus yawns and stretches as he walks over to Y/n, who hadn't acknowledged him yet as he was still analyzing every punch or kick that Goku and Vegeta threw at each other.

Beerus: Y/n?

Y/n looks away from the sparring session and looks at Beerus and he nods.

Y/n: Hello Father. Do you need something?

Beerus seems to ponder this for a moment, then responds.

Beerus: I just wanted to say that I'm glad you've found your passion. Somehow, I knew it'd be fighting, ahaha.

He smiles at the demigod, and Y/n nods before looking back at Goku and Vegeta.

Y/n: Father... What was my mother like?

Beerus' smile fades and he is suddenly more awake.

Beerus: Why do you ask?

Y/n: It's just... The Saiyans are my people, Father. Even though I was never on Planet Vegeta after my birth, I lament the loss of the planet and it's people. I know that may seem strange, but I just... I wish I knew more about th Saiyans. I'm trying to learn from Goku and Vegeta, but it seems as though they themselves don't lament the destruction of their planet and people. I'm sure they do, but...

He sighs and rubs his temples.

Beerus pats his son on the back awkwardly, not really sure what to say.

Beerus: The Saiyans were a proud warrior race, but they were also conquerors, son.

Y/n: Was Mom like that?

He turns to look at his father and Beerus shakes his head.

Beerus: From what I've heard, your mother was a rarity. She and her sister were very kind and compassionate warrioresses that spent more time caring for others than fighting.

Y/n: ... What was my mother's name?

Beerus: Her name was M/n, she was the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on.

Y/n: I see. Did you love her?

Beerus: Yes. I loved your mother, truly.

Y/n clenches his fists.

Y/n: So why did you let Frieza kill her?

Beerus: That's not-

Y/n: Not what, Dad?! Not fair?! So how is it fair that I never knew the warmth of a mother and my father barely had anything to do with me?! What's the point of being a God if you just let people do whatever they want?!

The young hybrid Saiyan was fighting back tears, and Beerus was surprised by his sudden outburst. He'd never seen his son this way. Beerus goes to retort, but Whis gently places a hand on Y/n's shoulder.

Whis: Now Y/n, I understand how you feel but don't you think your being a bit presumptuous? Besides that, it's not a God's place to constantly control mortal affairs.

Y/n: So it's just because she was mortal, is that it?!

Whis: Y/n-

Y/n: No! I want to hear it from him!

Whis looks away and Beerus seems to be holding back his anger.

Beerus: I have nothing to say to you right now, son.
