Captain Betts activated the invisible mode. The Rudi was now a vague shadow to everyone twenty meters away.
Silence settled among passengers—everyone was mourning for their lost love ones, and their fallen shelter. They were the only ones who left Chalatine alive. Their families and friends were killed by wight's bullets, their home torn apart by wights' invasion and imploded from its center, vanished forever.
The last peculiar shelter of Europe has fallen.
John sat beside Blanche. An elder man walked toward him. Blanche waved at him, "Hi, Mr. Sanders."
"Hello, Blanche," the man said with a smile on his face.
"John this is Mr. Andrei Sanders. Mr. Sanders, this is John Hill."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Sanders," said John.
"You are the boy with doll," the man said matter-of-factly.
"How do you know that?"
"I dreamed of your coming two weeks ago," Mr. Sanders answered as he put a hand on John's shoulder.
The circumstances changed, John saw himself being chased by wolves, hunted by hollows, arrive at Calatine, everything he had been through the last two weeks. The surroundings changed again, he was now rafting toward a bay occupied by warships.
"What was that?" He asked.
"I see the future in my dreams," Mr. Sanders said, "And I can show people what I saw. It's my gift."
"So you know why the wights are after me?"
"They are not after you. They want the doll."
"Send monsters to hunt a doll I found inside a landfill?"
Nothing make sense since ten years ago.
"I don't know why," Mr. Sanders admitted, "But that doll seems to have a very important role to play in the future of peculiardom. The point is, wights believe this doll may somehow post threat to their reign. Which is why we need to send you to safety as fast as possible."

Blanche led John to a crew cabins which they share with other two young passengers, Sadie and Walt. Sadie wore rubber gloves to avoid touching other people, because her touch kills every living thing. Walt had telekinesis peculiarity, he moves things with his mind.
After the short introduction, John sit on his bed, and looked at Blanche. "I have a question in mind."
"I thought you still have a thousand." Blanche said.
"Yeah, anyway, why did they send wolves after us instead of hollows?" John asked, "Hollows are much more dangerous."
"It's probably because they don't want to send hollows too often, otherwise people would gradually lose their fear toward those beasts."
John sighed, "It's really terrifying to think they have more monsters waiting for us, even after being hunted for so long."
Blanche smiled at him, for a moment John felt like someone took all the weight from his shoulder.
"No monster is coming now. You are safe here. We all are."

A father was woken up by his daughter.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"Toilet," his daughter mouthed. He fell back to his bed.
Ten minutes later, his daughter didn't come back. He felt something wrong, so he stepped out of his room to look for his daughter.
