Author's Notes

It all started from the end.
Every time I read the Desolations of the Devil's Acre, I was intrigued by the idea of a world where Caul won the battle at the Devil's Acre and ruled over the world with his peculiar supremacy view. And I want to explore how the world reacts to all of those craziness. So, to make the situation believable, I have to sacrifice some characters we all know and love. And believe me, it wasn't any easier to write than to read it.
Another interesting part of this story is Emma. She had been through the trauma of war and lost everyone she ever loved. This isn't the Emma we were introduced to in the original books anymore. This is the Emma that had lost her faith in the goodness of this world. So, I also view this story as her journey to restore faith. It is something she must go through before returning to the Emma we are all familiar with, and I'm very excited for her stories ahead.
Truth be told, when I started writing this story, I never really expected to see it gets completed. I still can't quite believe it, even today as I'm typing out these words. I want to thank everyone who's been reading my stories. Without you guys I would probably have abandoned writing this one already, and it will be jailed in my head forever. Your support really means a lot to me.
It has been an incredible journey for me, but I won't stop here, and neither will this story. Ever since I started constructing this story, my plan has always been a trilogy.
So, I can confirm to you that Book Two will come, and it will come soon.

The first chapter of the sequel to Legacy of the Birds, currently titled A Circuit of Time is likely to be published before Loop Day, 2024. But, you know, no promises lol
