Chapter 10: Preparation for the Council

My POV:

When we received the Ancients' reply letters, we were shocked to find out that even Dark Cacao Cookie was coming to the Cookie Kingdom. They all said that they would arrive within 4-6 days, which meant that we had at least 2 days to prepare for them. I asked everyone, "So who's gonna do what? We literally have no plan at all!" Strawberry said, "I'll take charge of the food arrangements!" We nodded to approve of her idea. Strawberry has a very good taste in food, and we could trust her to pick the best meals for our visitors. I suggested, "Maybe I can prepare the rooms for them in the Cookie Castle, although I think Dark Cacao Cookie would rather have a field to set up his tents." Wizard answered, "Great idea, Cream Cookie! I'll be in charge of preparing the Council Hall." In return for that, Gingerbrave said, "And I'll be with Custard Cookie III and welcome the Ancients and give them the tour!" Custard grinned and replied, "Your future king approves!"

As I ran to the Cookie Castle to prepare Pure Vanilla's guest room, I used my abilities to create a device, once the guest scans their hand on the screen of it, the queen bed in the room will change to suit them, and the interior and decorations in the room would change to fit where they come from, their preferences and what they like. I placed one of each device I made in both Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla's rooms and prepared a field for Dark Cacao. The field was large and open, suitable for camping. I then decided to use my magic to coat the grass in a thin layer of snow, enough to cover the grass but not enough to have your feet sink in. I also made the air seem slightly colder than it actually was to make the soldiers feel more at home. Once I was done, everyone went to meet at the Cookie Castle to confirm that they were done. Once everyone was there, we went to check on the rooms that I prepared. Strawberry wanted to test out the device, so she scanned her hand on the screen, and the decorations turned strawberry pink and red. She softly smiled in delight while the others were impressed.

Meanwhile in the Creme Republic...

Clotted Cream's POV:

"Venerable Elders of the Creme Republic, blessed by glorious light! Thank you for answering my rather urgent call. I requested your presence as I have received a report from the researcher and the knight tasked on finding out more about the Soul Jam." I said. "Well? What is it?" asked Elder Canale Cookie. I said, "It seems that some of the Ancient Heroes have made a comeback and are planning to gather soon, in a kingdom known as the Cookie Kingdom." Elder Oyster Cookie remarked, "I have never heard of such a kingdom." I replied, "That is because it was unknown and undiscovered until it was found by a group of travelers who now are ruling the kingdom." My father, Elder Custard Cookie, protested, "That is not fair. Just because they found the kingdom, doesn't mean they get to rule it!" I answered, "Elder Custard Cookie, please be reasonable. The cookies that found the kingdom discovered that it was abandoned and there was no one living there. However, over time, many more cookies stayed at the kingdom, including the knight and the mage we sent, and those cookies other than the ones from our Republic, accepted them as their rulers." Elder Mille Feuille Cookie replied, "How strange... it is indeed curious as to how the so-called "rulers" treat their subjects." Elder Custard Cookie said, "Consul Clotted Cream Cookie, you must journey to this, "Cookie Kingdom"  with an airship and attempt to obtain the Soul Jam for research." I nodded in response and said, "Yes, Elder Custard Cookie." 

As I walked down the hall to pack some of my belongings, Elder Vanilla Sugar Cookie caught up to me and told me that she was assigning me a bodyguard known as Financier Cookie and that she will protect me. Knowing that I was fully capable of defending myself, I forced a smile and nodded in spite of what she had just said.

Yeah.. that's really the end of the chapter. Don't get me wrong, I still love Cookie Run, it's just that I'm a bit busy recently. Anyway, are some of you sending friend requests to me on CRK?
