It's been like a day or two ever since I found out that Doc Hudson was the fabulous Hudson Hornet. Was Doc still angry with me for involving his privacy? I believe so, yes. It was an accident but something told me inside to check out. How would I explain to Doc that something inside me told me so to check? But when I left quickly towards my cone room, I got time to collect things inside my head. He won three Piston Cups and never told anyone about it? Why did he stop racing then? That's the question inside my head. But soon, I would find out the answer.

I was busy napping inside my cone room arranged by Doc and others when I heard the sound of knocking outside my cone room. I began to ask myself, how do cars knock? I got out of my bed and went towards the garage door before opening it. There was Sheriff. "Hi, Sheriff. Can I help you with something?"

"Hello, Y/N. While I was patrolling the area, I found a strange item on the ground. Something told me that it's yours." He then turned around so that his back turned to me and opened his baggage.

I took a peak inside and there it was. My eyes went wide in shock. My backpack! I immediately took it out and held it close to me. "Thank you so much, Sheriff. It's a backpack. It's used to put and hide stuff inside."

Sheriff turned around to face me ad hummed before driving off, leaving me dumbfounded. So, he was not gonna ask questions? Ok, then. Just as I was about to head back inside my cone room, Doc drove up to me, looking very calm now. "Y/N, I want you to follow me."

I looked unsure yet angry as well. First, he yelled at me yesterday or two for entering his garage and sending me away, then he expected me to follow him. But I decided not to pick a fight with him as I nodded and followed him. I kinda understand his reaction. No one would like their privacies getting involved but there were other ways to handle this situation and not into anger, although, people were different and so were cars. I followed Doc with my backpack into my arms as we entered his garage. I was shocked. Why were we here? However, before we entered his garage, he let me in first. why was he standing behind my back?

I finally noticed the three Piston Cups he won and I looked at him. He looked honestly sad and I looked softly now instead of angry. Something was bothering him about his past. Before I could speak about what was wrong with him, he instead spoke first.

"I didn't want anyone to see this because I didn't want to be recognized."  He still looked me in the eyes, waiting if I got to anything to say but I shook my head softly as no. He looked rather thankful and continued to speak. "Before I came here to Radiator Springs, I was once a racer and won three Piston Cups in a single season. while I continued to race, it all changed for me."

I raised my eyebrow. How so did it change for him? I was about to ask but Doc beat me to it. He turned the light on and I turned around. There it was why... against the wall. There was a news article that said, 'CRASH! HUDSON HORNET OUT FOR SEASON.' I looked softly at Doc, who looked down, very upset. So, the crash made him quit racing, or what was it?

"The crash made you quit?"

Doc looked up at me. "No. They quit on me saying 'You're history. I left my hometown and moved to Radiator Springs after I finished my studies of being a doctor."

Something told me to ask him. "What's your hometown?"

"Thomasville."

I gasped and immediately set my backpack down. I zipped it open and searched through stuff. Doc looked at me with a questionable stare. I mentioned for him to close the doors and he did, driving up to me. The first thing I pulled out was a news article. Doc looked closely and read that said 'YOUNG LADY RACER OUT FOR SEASON IN THOMASVILLE.' Doc looked at me shocked. Thomasville was his birth town. He also crashed there during the race. Were he and Y/N similar?

Once I showed him the news article, I set it back into my backpack and got out not one, not two but three trophies as well I won during a single season of racing. It said not Piston Cups but nothing as well. It just simply said Champion. I truly understand Doc Hudson, the once-famous racer named the Fabulous Hudson Hornet. Then Doc and Y/N looked at each other. They truly understood each other but something new sparked inside of them. New love.
