Chapter eight

Ashley: She would run out the door with zone heading to the outside of the building and started to engage the omega forces that have started to attack the base from the front with the other squads

Zone: "Jesus there is a lot of them!"
He would take aim with his weapon and started to fire on a group attempting to flank around the side

Ashley: "Nice shot zone!"
She would fire in short burst with her DMR at some further away targets

Zone: He shifts his aim next to a vehicle that was going to try to plow at the gate
"Watch the vehicle open fire!"
He would start to fire at the windshield of the vehicle

Ashley: She directed the fire at the tires but to no avail, the windshield was bulletproof and the wheels

Zone: "Shit! We don't got much t-"
A loud bang would be heard and the windshield of the vehicle would be cracked with blood spatter behind it, as the vehicle swerved and flips over and lands in a ditch

Ashley: Meanwhile she was disoriented because of the gunshot
"Oh my fucking god.."
She drops her gun and kneels down covering her ears

Zone: "Jesus what kind of round is that?!"
He shakes his head as he was now on the ground

Jess: He would come into her view with the .50 cal sniper in her hand
"Get up wuss"

Zone: He would slowly get up and seeing Ashley he would help her up after shaking his head

Jess: "Omega one is on a full retreat back to there base, I expect the commander wants a counter attack very soon.."

Zone: "Then we will be ready for it"

Jess: "Stay on your toes, our squad might be needed to commit sabotage and disruption to omega one's base first"

Zone: "Yes ma'am"

Jess: "See you inside"
She turns around

Zone: "Hey dummy, you should ask where Nika is, she didn't come outside here did she?" He thought to himself
"Umm Jess, where's Nika?"

Jess: "She's is on the other side of the building, she went to help defend the other side"

Zone: Great great..
-I nod softly and started to walk to the front gate-

Jess: "Where do you think your going first of all"
-She barks a mean tone at zone-
"Come help clean up the mess!"

Zone: "Yes yes I will Jesus.."
-I sigh and got to work to clean and remove the bodies in the area-

Few hours later

Zone: -He sits down exhausted looking down with a black box in his hand that he found off a dead enemy soldier-
"Man... carrying anthros is such a pain..."

Nika: -She would be walking to him, also to be seen with some dents in her heavy armor-
"You ok zone? You look very tired?"

Zone: "Yea.. yea.. I'm tired as hell.. especially moving those bodies.. they weigh too mouth"
-He chuckles softly and slowly stands up-

Nika: "Well now you can head inside now the threats gone, and plus I'm betting we are going to be doing some sabotage soon against omega-1"

Zone: "Yea that will be fun"

4 minutes later

-Zone was getting undressed and was about to go to bed when Jess walks in-

Jess: "Private zone?"

Zone: "Uhmmm yes ma'am?"

Jess: "I have a question for you?"

Zone: "What's the question squad leader Jessica?"

Jess: "When you were first brought into the base, in the interrogation room.. do you recall you broke through the cuffs?"

Zone: -He thinks for a moment-
"Yes I recall breaking out of them why?"

Jess: "Well as you know, you can't really break out of metal sturdy handcuffs you know?"

Zone: He nods
"It only happens when my adrenaline kicks in, especially when you said you had my stuff it especially kicked in"

Jess: -She nods-
"Really interesting.. anyways get some rest we will be out on the road soon"

Zone: "Yes ma'am!"
