She Sways

Episode 3. ;-)

"Oh shit this boy is damn hot" I said within already grinning in the open.

"Ez, get over here. This is my friend Katie and her son Donald" My mum said excited
"Nice to meet you Miss Katie" I said and she replied with a warm smile

"I've heard so much about you Essence" she added
"Get off that phone and say hi to Essence, Donald now!" She said to Donald with a stern voice whose composure didn't seem to change one bit.
He raised his head a little in my direction and I felt the goosebumps.
"Hi, I'm Donald nice to meet you Essence." he said freely.
Our moms were chatting endlessly while I continued to stare at Donald who was glued to his phone and could care less about what was going on.

"Donald did you tell Essence that you're the captain of the chess club at school?" His mum said with satisfaction in her eyes being proud of her son's achievement
"Wow, that's amazing" my mum chipped in.
"You know Ez, you could join the chess club for extra credit and since Donald is there he could guide you easily" she added with a wide grin

"Uhh mo.." I stuttered being skeptical about it

"Don't mom me , you're doing it and it's final" she said sternly

"Ohh yes mum" I whined
"I'm sure Donald doesn't mind, not so Donald?" His mum asked

" Yeah whatever " he said lazily

Donald's POV

Another boring day at school. Never gets old
"I can't believe my mum basically forced me into letting this girl join the chess club. Well I pray she's not all that bad cause in her house she practically ate me out with staring" I said to myself

I walked lazily in the hallway towards the meeting room for the chess club since our meeting days were Mondays and Fridays.

Bump, fall, splshhh
"Ouu" a voice winced out in pain
"Watch where you're going " she said in frustration
I turned to see who it was before reacting
It was Essence, ohh this crazy girl
"Oh it's you" she said surprised
"Why don't you watch where you're going!" I said giving her a hand to get up
She bit her lower lip in embarrassment.

We were done with club activities and it was now time to head back to class.
I walked calmly yet fast to class and I felt someone trailing behind me. I turned to see it was Essence again ughh. Would this girl ever leave me alone
"Why are you following me" I said in a harsh tone
"I'm not following you I have Chem as well" she replied maintaining calmness

Essence POV

School was finally over thank God!!! I went headed over to Jasper and Irene. I hadn't seen them all day since we had had different classes today.

"Yo Irene what's good" I called out

" Just chilling, today's been stressful as hell" she replied in an exhausted tone.

"Hey Jasper" I greeted facing Jasper

"He..y" he stuttered

Soon enough our parents had arrived and we all went to our individual houses

On getting home , I saw Hannah my lil sis whose eyes was fixed on the TV in the living room.

"Oh hey Ez, how was school today?" She said still not fully concentrated

"It was stressful and who knew Chess club members are so mean and stuck up." I replied already frustrated
"Chess club? Why do you need to be in chess club?" She asked now concerned and shocked

"Well mum says it'll give me extra credit and Miss Fabian mentioned it too." I said

"Hmm that's strange but okay, good luck." She replied as she carried on watching TV

I went straight to my room cause I was really tired. As soon as I got to my room I fell on the bed and slept almost immediately.
