I felt a little weird but Jacob hasn't done anything wrong, I'm just nervous. He's a really tall good looking guy with dark black hair, green eyes, black shirt and gold chain.

Grayson cleared his throat. "Well now that formalities are over, let's get to what we came here for," he said in an annoyed tone.

Jacob let go of my hand and raised an eyebrow at Grayson. "I never thought you were so eager to do homework, Edwards," he remarked. Why did he call Grayson by his last name?

Either way, I'm feeling an immense tension between Grayson and Jacob as Grayson scowled. "Cut the crap Evans, I'm just saying we're not here to waste time," he shot back.

Faye barged in and saved the day once again. "Alright ladies, stop bickering and let's get to the homework and snacks," she said.

"I agree," Grayson muttered under his breath.

I hate this jerk so much.

Jacob Evans, typical rich high school playboy. Why the hell did Faye even invite him? I know she's one of the very very few girls who have turned down his charms so maybe he just slipped in like Samantha.

But as soon as I saw him lay his stupid eyes on Jen, I knew what he was thinking and I am not going to let him hurt Jen. I'm not going to let her get heartbroken by this jerk in her first and last year in high school.

Hell no, not if I can help it. Wait what am I saying? I don't even know if Jen even likes this guy. Though she did seem a bit uncomfortable with the lingering handshake. Every girl seems to have a thing for Jacob though, so I'm not sure if Jen will be one of them...

I must have zoned out again, because the next thing I know Faye is snapping her fingers in front of my face. "Earth to Gray, hello Gray are you here?" she said, waving her pencil at the math homework in front of me.

"Huh, what?" I said, snapping back to reality. "I was asking you if you knew the answer to number three, since no one knows it," she replied exasperatedly.

"Oh, uhh I think it's C," I said, glad I knew the answer or if not I would have been kind of embarrassed.

"Damn, quite the math nerd, aren't you?" Jacob sneered as he threw a cheese cube at me. I rolled my eyes. "Just because I knew the answer doesn't mean I'm a math nerd, I just actually pay attention and actually go to class, Evans," I shot back.

He just smirked and threw up his hands in mock defeat. "And yet somehow, I still get good grades," he laughed.

"Yeah, nothing money can't buy," I muttered.

Faye rolled her eyes at the both of us and Jen is just talking to Anna, completely oblivious to what's going on on the other side of the table. Anna of course had to start the conversation, but once Jen started warming up she was happily chatting away with her, giggling every once in a while.

Faye stood up from her seat."Well guys, let's call it a day. My parents will be home from work soon and I have to clean the kitchen and so on. I'll see ya'll at school!'' she said as she picked up the trays and left for the kitchen.

After that, Anna walked up to me and apologized. "Hey Gray, sorry my brother came along, I know you two kind of have a frenemy thing going on but he was being really annoying about coming with me. He probably did it cause he just spite you though," she pointed out.

"Well then, he damn succeeded," I remarked. Just then I saw Jacob walking up to Jen again. Anna was still talking to me though so I just stood there and glanced at Jen and Jacob. He said something to her and she giggled.

What the hell are you doing Evans?

I excused myself with Anna and slowly walked up to them, and I could start to hear their conversation.

"Jenny, you have a lovely name, fitting for a lovely person like you. Do you want to exchange numbers? I know you're new and I'm willing to hang out if you want to make any new friends," he suggested, smiling down at Jen.

I revolted at that.

"Umm, sure why not? I have the number of every person I've gotten to talk to, so yeah!" she replied brightly, pulling out her phone.

By now I was standing right behind Jen, though she hadn't noticed me looming over her and glaring at Jacob. Jacob, already aware of my presence, glanced at me but said nothing. After Jen put her number in his phone, he looked at me again and mockingly shook his phone at me.

THIS MOTHER FU-

"Well, Jenny, I will be sure to text you later and see you at school tomorrow," he said, following behind Anna.

Jen turned and jumped when she saw me behind her. "Ahhh! Grayson you scared me, I hadn't seen you there," she laughed.

Suddenly all my anger at Jacob melted away. "Sorry about that Jen," I said sheepishly. "It's fine! Well, I'll be going. See you tomorrow Grayson, bye Faye!" she called out as she walked out the door.

I'm going to end that Evans.
