from tolkien fanfic FARE THEE WELL | the hobbit
for context on why she has a beard and looks more masculine than feminine: in THE HOBBIT and LORD OF THE RINGS, female dwarves (dwarrowdams) are hard to differentiate from male dwarves since they can also grow facial hair. Tili is a female dwarf and while her beard isn't thick like other dwarrowdams, she still prides herself in being able to grow a small beard. as for looking masculine, she's meant to take after her mother (and like i said, female dwarves are masculine too). if for some reason you don't believe this, you can google it for yourself or read the books.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Tili is Fili's older twin and the older sister of Kili. She's trained in wielding battle axes, tomahawks, and small swords, and she knows hand-to-hand combat. if you would like to know more about her, feel free to check out the fanfic she's from!
here's another thing with tili. she and Legolas aren't a thing but i just thought it was funny since they meet at one point in her story
