Everchanging Dreams

Gone the whisper of those cherry red lips

To be reduced to nothing more than soot

Gone the kiss of winter's frost and it's bliss

To be consumed by summer's burning foot

It disappears in the blink of an eye

Doomed to be forgotten and never missed

It allows the blind to see the sky

Doomed to be lost by morning in bleak mist

We'd fall in reverse and turn back the clock

If we could see what miracles it brews

We'd change ourselves and give fate's door a knock

If its' code we could decipher with muse

But replace 'it' with 'dream' and what you'll see

Is that our dreams are just pure mystery

So this is the first sonnet I've ever written. .-. Excuse it's awfulness. This is actually an assignment for English that's due tonight so I decided I might as well post it up on here for you guys ;P
