You don't know what happened but lately the teapot likes to shake a lot. You asked Tubby why it was like that and she said it was probably because of what is happening outside. Either the teapot was being shaken or Aether was in a fight.

'Well he seems to be in way more fights than the usual amounts'

The lights flickered for a bit while the whole realm shook. You've been worried about what's happening outside. Is Aether alright? He hasn't entered the teapot for a while now...

"I'm sure he's fine. Afterall he's been through many things. He even fought Gods before. Whatever is happening is probably just something a little harder than the usual commissions"

'AETHER FOUGHT GODS!?!? I thought he was just an adventurer!?'

You look back down at the pages of the current book you're reading. Something about a princess and her knight. A typical story yes but you're running out of books you could read without Aether or Paimon's help in translating.

You just hope he's really fine. Let's hope that Tubby is right and Aether is just fighting some stronger opponents (and hopefully not a God).

It was quite awkward. Everyone was silent. After getting inside. The sandstorm outside sounded quite wild. Aether could hear some weird sounds outside.

He was now thinking of how to explain that they're now going to stay in the desert to you because something really bad is happening. He didn't even notice when the others started talking and Candace left to fight some monsters outside.

Aether lifted his gaze towards the man who sat across him. Grey hair. Tall. A unique set of eyes. He was extremely buff too. His eyes then fell to the silver ring that sat around the man's finger. Aether was reminded of a story you told him once.

"I bought a ring for him as an apology.. but I got into more trouble when bringing it home. He was really mad... But the next day I saw him wore the gift. As expected it suited him!"

From the smile on your face while talking about this roommate he could see that you really cherish this man. In his opinion you two acted like some domestic couple.

Aether remembered how you describe the man as "very handsome and smart". He wonder if this was him.. but it might just be coincidence. Afterall he's seen many men that could be considered "handsome and smart" on his journey. And a ring is not enough confirmation.

"Is there something you want to say to me Traveler?"

He was snapped out of his thoughts when the man in front of him finally noticed his staring and asked him.

"Oh n-nothing.. sorry for staring"

Aether looked somewhere else but Al Haitham wasn't going to make him drop it just like that.

"You wanted to ask me something didn't you? Go on"

Aether still refused to look at him but he did ask eventually.

"Do you... Have a roommate?"

It seems that Cyno and Dehya was also interested. Cyno was more interested while Dehya only glanced at their direction. Al Haitham was surprised that Aether knew.

"Yes I do. Why?"

Feeling the other's stare he began to rethink if this was even a good idea to talk about it here. He can't really turn back now. Suddenly Cyno interrupted before Aether spoke again.

"Are you trying to ask about Al Haitham's lover?"

Paimon almost choked on her fruit. Aether stared at Cyno is surprise. Dehya was looking at Al Haitham with a stare that says "He has bitches??". Al Haitham just crossed his arms and leaned back on his chair.

"If you're asking about him then there's no use. I won't answer any question you might have about him"

Surprisingly he didn't even deny the claim.

"Oh? Afraid that your lover might be found in his hiding? I bet he's the one keeping your secrets huh?"

Al Haitham glared at Cyno from across the room.

"He's not in hiding. He went missing. Even I don't know where he is currently"

Everyone went silent again. Aether sighed. He really needs to ask you about it. He stood up and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?"

"Outside. Just for a while. I need to check on something"

He gave a sign to Paimon using his hand. She instantly understood it as "Teapot" from the pouring motion and nodded.

"Check on Candace for me!"

Aether nodded at Dehya before opening the door quickly going out and closing it again. Another silence settled inside the room.

[A/N: I'm starting to notice this story is becoming longer than I anticipated... I originally thought I would only get to like 15-19 chapters for season one but... Oh well-

The more we progress with the Archon Quest the sooner we're nearing the... "Separation" a.k.a the end of season one lol-]
