It was a really peaceful day. Shinichi woke up at his fiancé's nice and warm smile.

"Good morning Shin-chan."

"Morning... Kai..."

After cuddling for a few minutes, Kaito got up knowing that his partner wouldn't fonction properly without his beloved coffee.

"I'm gonna make you coffee, I'll be back in a few minutes." said Kaito while kissing Shinichi's forehead.

"Hum..." he nodded slightly, still not fully awake while the other was making his way to the kitchen.

Shinichi yawned and got up, sitting on the bed and rubbing his eyes before stretching his arms, waiting for the two things he loved the most. Not long after, they both arrived. Of course, the first thing he waited was his fiancé, Kuroba Kaito, coming with the second thing, coffee.
After he drank the whole cup of coffee, his brain finally started to fonction properly, as he suddenly fully woke up.

"Thank you Kaito. Your coffees really are the best."

"Of course, I have a coffee addict as futur husband. If they weren't the best after 3 years being together, there would be a problem."

"Kaito! I'm not that addict to coffee!" Shinichi pouted slightly.

"Oh yeah? You drink at least 3 cups-"

"3 cups is not that much."

"-per hour Shin! 3 cups of coffee per hour! It's already enough that you drink that disgusting bitter thing BLACK, but you also have to drink it so often! Don't expect me to kiss you after you drink this."

"Hey! Don't you dare insult coffee!"

Kaito, in response, sticked out his tongue to him, crossed his arm and turned his head. Now, the cowlick haired could only see the back if his head.

"Hmph... Then stop drinking it so much!"

"You're the one who decided to marry me, knowing damn well this fact!" replied Shinichi, imitating the other's pose.

A minute of silence has passed and nobody has move, when suddenly both of them started to bust out of laughter.

"Let's go eat breakfast!"

"Yes, let's go Kai."

As per usual, they would eat breakfast together — whenever Shinichi didn't have a case to solve this early in the morning, which happened quite a lot of time — Kaito's delicious cooking. After all, he did took lessons just to impress the detective.
After that, they would either go on a date or stay home all day. That, of course, was if they were not working. There were also some times where they would just do their own thing, whether it was related to work, personal or love life. And today seems like those kind of day. The blue eyed man wanted to go out — for whatever reason. His companion didn't want to know, in fact he couldn't care less — but he was stopped by a hand grabbing his wrist.

"Don't go out today Shin-chan, you were home for breakfast for the first time in a while. I want you to stay home with me today."

He just gently smiled at him, and sat down on the couch again, next to the magician.

"Okay, I won't. I just wanted to buy some groceries but if that's what you want, I won't go." he said softly.

"And knowing your luck, you would probably ran into another corpse today."

Shinichi chuckled a little, "True, I probably would."

"You need to rest, so today, you don't leave home! And if someone call you to help them solve a case again, tell them you're sick or something but DON'T work. Got it?" said Kaito, a little annoyed that his lover was a workaholic.
