Ninjas in love, Ninjas in disguise

Chapter 1

(A/N Notes: I forgot to post this one yesterday)

The opening speech for the school year had ended without any problems, and with that, all of the students made their way to their respective classrooms

And Haruka was no different as he was currently sitting on his assigned desk with a normal indifferent expression on his face as he kept reading the book he had brought with him

To his side, a very upbeat girl was forgetting from excitement as she waited for her turn to introduce herself, that girl was Kuwako

Eventually, her turn finally arrived, so Kuwako got up and introduced herself to the class

"I'm Kubo Kuwako! It's nice to meet everyone here! I like ninjas and I plan on becoming the greatest ninja in all of Japan!"

"I see, I see, it's good to have big dreams like that. Everyone, please give Kubo-san some applauses"

A few people clapped at Kuwako's introduction, one of those persons being Haruka. Then Kuwako sat back down and looked towards Haruka with a proud face, to which he responded with a gentle smile as he also gave a single nod to her

Then after more introductions, it was finally Haruka's turn to introduce himself, so he closed his book and got up from his desk

"I'm Tsukigata Haruka, don't ask why I have that name, as for my likes... I like reading, video games, manga, and other usual stuff... ... ... Yeah, that's all for my introduction, ah! I also know something like martial arts as well. *Nods* yup, that's all I can think of for my introduction"

"Alright, thank you for your introduction Tsukigata-kun. Everyone give your classmate some applause"

And just like most of his classmates' introductions, a few people clapped to his introduction, but there was one difference, and that was Kuwako excitedly clapping at his introduction

Then it was the turn of the person behind Haruka to introduce himself, as that happened Haruka went back to reading his book

"It's nice to meet you all, my name is Kirigaya Hakuryu. As some of you may notice from my name, my family runs a famous dojo in the city, so some of you can say that... I know something like martial arts just like how Tsukigata-kun said earlier"

Hakuryu had clearly said Haruka's surname with a lot of disdain, but no one noticed it as everyone clapped at his introduction since he had a really handsome look that outclassed all of the boys in the school alongside a pure white hair and green strong-willed eyes that fitted his name

Even Kuwako was clapping at his introduction, but she also was the only one who clapped to everyone's introductions, and her claps weren't as excitedly as when she clapped at Haruka's introduction

As for the person who was personally mentioned by Hakuryu. He hadn't given a single care to it, Haruka simply wasn't bothered by Hakuryu's covert attempt at jabbing at him

Hakuryu then sat down after he gave his introduction, he showed a cool smile as he sat back down, but internally he was enraged at the fact Haruka hadn't reacted to his provocation

After everyone had made their introductions, everyone was pretty much given free time for the rest of the lesson since it was the first day of school. So, because of that, everyone, especially the girls, went to try talking with Hakuryu since he was very handsome, in fact, he could be considered the new most handsome boy in the school, so it was easy to understand why the girls were very excited to talk with him

But of the girls, one wasn't gathering around Hakuryu, that girl was Kuwako, as she was excitedly talking with Haruka. And Hakuryu was quick to notice it

"Tsukigata-san! Tsukigata-san! Are free after school?"

"Yeah, I am. Why do you ask?"

"I want to know if you can teach me some of your techniques as a master ninja!"

"Well... I'm not really good at teaching, but sure. I can show you some of the stuff I know"

"! Yay! Thank you very much, Tsukigata-san!"

Kuwako at hearing Haruka's agreement showed a very bright smile, meanwhile, Hakuryu who had managed to hear their short exchange as he skillfully answered the girls' questionings, began to have a vein pop on his forehead

Shortly after, Haruka got up from his, and left the classroom as he yawned, once he had disappeared after closing the classroom's door, Hakuryu got up from his seat as well and excused himself from the girls without arousing any suspicions. As he left he took a quick side glance at Kuwako who was excitedly having a talk with another girl, and then he also disappeared after he closed the classroom's door

A few minutes later

Haruka was standing in front of the vending machines as he waited for his canned coffee to fall at the dispenser

*Thunk*

Hearing the sound of the can falling, Haruka bent down and picked the can from the dispenser

"..."

Instead of opening it right after picking it up, Haruka simply stood in silence as if he was waiting for something, and soon after, he dodged a kunai coming right toward his head with small movements

"Good morning to you too, Hakuryu" *Opens the can*

"..."

Haruka looked towards Hakuryu who was facing him a few meters away to his left, and Hakuryu had eyes filled with killing intent

"... *Deeply breaths in*... Haa... Don't act like you're close to me, it's gross and I also hate you, Tsukigata"

"Yes, yes, I know. *Takes a sip* Is this still about that title of master ninja and the trophy? If so, I can just give both of them to you"

"Don't treat either of those so casually! That's why I hate you! You're always acting so sloppy and uncaring just because you're a prodigy at ninjutsu and because your family is renowned for its prestige in the ninjutsu arts!"

"Nah, I already told you this many times. I'm just like this because I don't really care about ninjutsu at all *takes another sip*"

"Stop with your lies, just to make me feel better!"

Haruka and Hakuryu knew each other for a long time, to the point that one could call them childhood friends.... Erm... Rivals... Maybe
